IMO we shouldn't have to change ourselves just to blend in with NT's, but if we can change in ways that intrinsically help us manage our lives better, that's all to the good. Agreed. But that still leaves me with the challenge of trying to determine if some discomfort that I am feeling is short-ter...

What are other autistic Reddit communities (besides r/Aspergers) like? I haven't been on Reddit at all until just today. I've put together a list of "sub-reddits" that appear to be for autistic adults . I would be interested in comments anyone here has about any of these Reddit communities...

If your diet would "make a nutritionist swoon in bliss," then I see no reason why you would need to "expand your palate." On the other hand, it seems to me that it would be desirable, if possible, to become capable of handling errands without getting nauseous or getting a headach...

To the first question: I guess therapy, medication and communicating with other autistic people. And my faith to an extent. I like myself most of the time now. That's great. In particular, I would expect that "communicating with other autistic people" would help many others here as well. ...

Anyways, to get back to the actual topic I still don't think people 35+ are "underrepresented", and I think those people are able to freely discuss most anything they want to on here as long as their post is actually discussion-prompting. I don't notice a lot of people my age actually sti...

Hence, difficulties in becoming acquainted with trusted people would become apparent when forms ask, 'who's name(s) do we include on health, and medical forms asking, 'who to contact in case of emergency?'' The names of trusted relatives, and parents friends are sufficient; even if they live a dist...
