Forum: Love and Dating   Topic: Is it bad to only pay for half of a gf's Christmas present?

It really depends on what type of person your GF is. Its a generous gesture in any case. I'd suggest giving her the cash on a gift card, that way she can use it to buy whatever she puts a priority on. If she does use it towards a new mattress - great. If she wants something else, she can buy that in...

Those kinds of "gifts" are only valuable if someone else can exploit them - otherwise, they can be curses.

Anyone can metaphorically stand on a soap box and demand anything they like...it doesn't make it happen. it just makes them look like every other street-corner kook doing the same thing.

Furthermore all federal officials are sworn to uphold the constitution, to do otherwise is sedition.

Those aren't threats - they are warnings...and everyone gets them NT or ND. It doesn't really matter which. The key difference is how we choose to respond or not respond to them. That is up to the individual.

None of your arguments are very strong, and attractiveness is subjective.

It may help with peace of mind (In my own case it did not - it made me feel worse, "this is permanent - theres's no fixing this") For me, it was just putting a label on aspects of myself that I had already recognized and accepted as mostly un-"fix"-able. The label was important ...

The S shaped symbol ( § ) means "section" and is used to show a new section of text.

Do what you'd like its YOUR birthday. I don't celebrate mine exactly, but if there is something I want to do, I'll do it. I don't do Surprise parties...anyone who tries to throw one in my honor is no friend of mine as it shows just how little they know me or care about my feelings. In general, I try...

I don't get why people can't spell "losing" properly. Instead they're always spelling it "loosing". I guess they're too lazy to bother spelling it correctly, or they're poorly educated. I worry that if I make just one spelling error while online, I'll end up paying for it with m...

I socialize as much as I want to. I do things in public that I want to with 1-2 trusted friends. Its enough for me. Spending time hating or resenting the majority doesn't accomplish anything and is a waste of my time and energy. Most things you feel you are missing out on can usually be done solo if...

Slack (particularly the mobile view on phones and tablets) doesn't lend itself to the way I communicate. While I've had to get used to it (and discord) I can't say I like the UI/UX. So yes, I sympathize very much. I do find it a bit easier on a wide-screen monitor than on a phone though.

Another point might be that this person can't bake or doesn't like Pumpkin pie. (I have to admit I am not a fan). It might also help at future "potluck" style events to ask people to bring something from a category of foods (dessert, side, salad, etc.) rather than a specific Item. While it...

you don't need to actually go out to get glasses. Just order a new pair. If your prescription is common, it only takes a few day for the new pair to show up at your door. What do you mean my prescription is common? Don’t people need eye exam? I’m taking eye health vitamins, they work great :D :D :h...

I'd be disappointed too. Once you accept an invitation, you go (unless you are ill, or there is a truly dire emergency.) If this new friend has food issues, the time to ask about the menu was before accepting the invitation.

At least you know more about this person's character than you did before.
