I have read a lot of New Age ideas in this thread; but so far, nothing really transformative. Actually there has been... I am not referring to one man's alleged transformation; I am referring to one transformative method that works for all, which is exactly what I am not seeing. Mental Sobriety. Co...

I more or less agree with you. I just can't help but have the thought "classically conditioning my breathing constantly while engaged in ambitious life struggle and exercising calm presence while learning/doing and recharging with focused, relaxed dissociation will make me think as a Genius doe...

From my perception, this is a strange thread. But since you experienced trauma and it affects your life, then I would suggest that you increase your knowledge on how the human brain deals with trauma. There is a good book In An Unspoken Voice by Peter A. Levine that provides quit a bit of insight. ...

It is the utilization of trauma induced classical conditioning to breath to reduce tension by default. I'm saying that I think religion works like this. People "get into their heads" very early competing in the world and lose "constant presence." This makes them start breathing i...

I will try to phrase it even more literally: Place two fingers on your right shoulder on the point of greatest strain. Refuse to breathe until the strain can be pushed down like butter while you cyclically breathe. Use this technique carefully to ease total body tension and restore optimum blood flo...

In simple terms...what do you define as personal divinity? The embodiment of a fluid mentalization of consciousness in perfect accordance with LOGIC.... to the ends of increasing one's personal sense of euphoric vitality as stably and long as possible. This is in accordance with one's strongest, dr...

I read some of your words and thought I would comment on some ruminations. I'm beginning to wonder if man's development of reason is an adaptation from a traumatic environment in which the animal is fulfilling its own frenzied instinct to "be young, healthy, and beautiful forever" and real...

I firmly believe that if one must find God then one is best served in submission to the altar of "Pure Reason." This post will elaborate upon my admittedly subjective interpretation of psychological/spiritual/philosophical transformations, fed through my obsessive analysis of my own develo...

techstepgenr8tion is on it. Evolutionary game theory is also valuable in particular in analysis of group behavior. The balance of overt aggressors and covert diplomats in a competitive system is important to how one must behave in that environment (be the opposite of the dominant group aka be covert...

This was a big problem when I was younger and a major source of frustration in social events. There are are a few things I do now to help: 1) I stop caring about fulfilling innate desires to speak my true perspective and interests. 2) I am silent if I am unsure about being able to be heard. 3) I kee...

The popular narratives won't work for you. There isn't a simple explanation that helps put a pretty bow on reality. You can't just blindly accept what your culture told you, and you feel little pressure to fit in by adopting those views. You also see a lot of how people are being manipulated once yo...

Fair disclaimer: Personal biases about "how people generally are" incoming. Children are the means of immortality for people who will never have statues made of them or entries in history texts. You are an extension of their status. Everything they are working for... burning themselves out...

I have both issues and can distinguish. Laziness is willful. It's a choice that is made to abdicate responsibility, usually in relation to something one finds tedious. Executive dysfunction is more compulsive. You can hardly help it without placing external structures that guide your time. It doesn'...

Autism.

It's literally why I'm here on WP right now. It's been a while and I had an itch to scratch.
