I've done it once. It was all a blur by the end of the night. Saying much of the same stuff to 30 people in a row. The only good thing about it you get a reality check on how well of a first impression you make. Anyone will smile, be polite, and tolerate you for 3 minutes. When you see the results o...

NTs assume everyone is just like them because most people are. Personally, I can't blame them for not wanting to cater to us when it's so easy to find another NT. As for dancing, I can do it motion-wise. Matching steps and completing a pattern is where I shine. But I will never get the full effect o...

Do you feel that your boss is on your side? Would he stand up for you or help you if you were taking heat? If so, it's ok to give him inside information. Unless you really care about the people you might get in trouble. However, if you're anything like me, you don't fit into the peer group very well...

It helps with the nerves. Unfortunately, it doesn't make you a more socially adjusted person. You still have all the dorky mannerisms and lack of group-dynamic intuition that made you isolated in the first place. Unless you get in a fight you'll think you did well. However, when you really analyze ...

Agree with you there. This cycle hits harder for aspies not only with the obsessive natures, but also with the frequency things we're bad at come up. Social situations are unavoidable.

Still need to practice hitting out escape cycles faster.

This would be anyone's decision tree with something they're having a hard time with. The problem is aspies dwell on the failure cycle too long and are too drained of energy for the escape cycle.

If girls are talking to you, just keep doing what you're doing. Don't stop to gather more information. If you do, you'll fall into the nasty pattern of thinking too much which plagues many people on here. It may not sound logical but doing the same thing over and over, even if it fails, actually hel...

Life is certianly easier if you're an NT. Aspies have thier advantages, but it's not anything amazing enough to compensate. We're not the X-men.

Bumping this thread for more feedback. I have a reasonably-equipped free weight gym, but I am an extreme hard-gainer. My program is basically a split routine (legs one day, another group the next, etc) with heavy weights and 3 sets of 10 reps . Diet is high protein and 15x my weight in lbs in calor...

For sure. I've learned the right things to do at the right time, but still never developed the natural inclination to do them. Feels like I'm faking it the whole time, relying too much on mirroring emotions and energy levels.

No matter your disorder, if you burn more calories than you eat you will lose stored fat. Some have higher metabolisms than others, but it's simple physics that: A. your body must burn calories to function B. your body can't store calories it doesn't consume However, you're not guaranteed to lose we...

I don't know about obsessed, but I've worked with it for the past 12 years. Ever since version 14. Cool. What industry are you in? I work in facilities, so deal mainly with MEPFP content. Oddly enough (since it was considered the first really good release of the software on windows), R14 is the one...

I can say from firsthand experience that when you have a talent that NT's can clearly understand, and you can't easily socialize, the group will try and pigeonhole you into performing for them. For example, I am a professional level yo-yo player. Every time I've been at a job, and my coworkers get ...
