I was procrastinating about getting a weighted blanket last year, so my family bought me one for my birthday. It is 10% of my body weight and that seems right for me. One feature I have learned about since is called "cooling" blankets which have a sheer fabric instead of the velvety fabric...

After watching multiple interviews with Cyndi Lauper, I too am curious to know what is up with her. Mountain Goat, do you have some insight that the persona she presents is not authentic? It seems like an odd persona to create for her career. But I do believe that ASD people can and do sometimes do ...

I had a recurring dream as a child. A bunch of my family gets abducted by aliens. Once on the space ship I end up getting split up from the rest of my family and wind up in the ships garbage area. There I get spanked by Grimace. (Grimace was the large purple milkshake character from McDonald's comm...

There are only two criteria needed be diagnosed ASD: Social communication deficits and rigid, repetitive behavior. Each criterium can be met by a variety of traits and no single trait is required for a diagnosis. People have heard doctors say things like "you can't be autistic because you're ey...

My advice is to keep trying different social groups until you find one that works for you. Try to think of something which interests you and try a group based on that interest. Meetup.com is a website where you can find many of these groups. At your age, I was too stuck on doing what the few friends...
