I use both, just as I do for my diabetes, I am diabetic, I have diabetes. life is too short to argue about the way people choose to describe themselves. We have enough "rules" to contend with already. |

I was bullied in every single job I ever had, I did not get diagnosis until after I was retired. I had no idea how I made them angry and resentful, but I managed to alienate co workers every time, even though I could always do the job at hand. Sabotage and "setting me up" were common and I... |

On another forum somebody mentioned that about 27 percent of people are estranged from one or more family member. I wondered how many of that percentage were autistic. With our struggles to communicate , tendency to misunderstand, and all our other social struggles (we must have problems with commun... |

I think there are pros and const to almost any place we live. Safety is first consideration. I hope you find a situation which won't cause you distress and anxiety. I have lived many many places over my lifetime. Humans can and do adapt to almost any situation, but it is our nature to seek "som... |

I had a similar experience regarding maturity. Although the ID was not part of it, I think childhood trauma, especially very early trauma, contributed to my lack of ability to function. At age 30 I was mentally/emotionally probably around 12 to 14 years old as far as maturity is concerned. As an act... |

I retired a long time ago, but when I was working, it was not unusual for me to have 3 part time jobs. It gave me more flexibility in scheduling and the work was not as boring. I worked a full time job and a couple of part time ones for a while too. There is no shame in having part time jobs. Most o... |
