We're going to go to war again, Hurrah, hurrah! We're going to go to war again, Hurrah, hurrah! We'll kill some of our enemies, And the enemies will kill some of us, But we'll all rejoice when Johnny comes marching home. We're going to go to war again, Hurrah, hurrah! We're going to go to war again,...

Around here, most of the Christians think that most of the other Christian denominations go to Hell, even on recent schisms in tiny sects. So, it is kind of hard to know what "Christian" means. Yes and no. It's an interesting development, earlier on it might had been possible to have the ...

I guess that us introverts starts to loosen up, and become less afraid to engage in discussions etc after a few. And in an environment where everybody is acting a bit off, being drunk, it's less awkward being different. I mean, if someone is dancing on the table wearing a lampshade on his head, flap...

I must say that I'm a bit surprised of the results so far.
I would have thought about 50/50 between non believers and Christians.
And a few more votes for other beliefs.
But not that many have voted, so...

As for relationships, I think it may have to do with the social norm that the guy is supposed to ask the gal out.

Sorry for nagging, but,
If 40% alcohol, like vodka or whisky would kill bacteria in the gut, lets assume that, would 5% beer or 10% wine do it?
Why aren't manufacturers of hand sanitizers made aware of this? It would make a ton of money for them to not have to distill the liquid to 90%!

I really like my home, because of the quietness. Normally, I hear no noice. No cars, no trains, no stupid teenagers. If I step outside I can hear the train, but just barely. I can hear cars but they're so far away so it's ok. Basically, the only thing that annoys me, at home, is the garbage collecti...

Or lets talk math. The stommach is about two liters? (Manguessing, too drunk to look it up *kidding*) A shot is usually 40% and 4 centiliters (sometimes 6). Apart from the alcohol being deluted by the way down, once it reaches it's let's see 40/200? 0.2%, 4 cl makes it 0.8%. I seriously doubt that 0...

Also, I wonder what kind of gut problems you believe alcohol causes.
Since I have a fair bit of experience with alcohol, but not with gut problems, it makes me curious.

What can I say? Sorry for disagreeing. Show me some evidence.

Anyways, this is not to defend alcohol use, I really think it's bad.

Well, no. According to my experience alcohol does nothing with the guts. Sure, if you drink 10 pints of beer a day for a week, and not eat, you'll get diarreha, but I'm pretty sure the same would happen if you drank orange juice. I can buy that over consumtion of alcohol disturbs the processes in th...

^ Is that something you know or are speculating about?
It sounds a bit like the myth that alcohol kills off bacteria in foul food, so it's good to have a couple of shots with the meals when going to say India or China.

Yes, all of the above, except for children, annoys me. Well, some children annoys me too, but not "normal" behaviour like playing with their trikes or crying doesn't. BBQ, it's mostly the smell. It would be OK if it was just one neighbour but when I have it on four sides it gets too much. ...

I have a strict moral about alcohol. I don't drink around children, I don't drink the day before a work day, and I don't drink the day before driving. But I drink (too much). Back in my youth it was helpful for socializing, much like rse92s experience, in particular with women. Since I was very much...
