I find myself smack dab somewhere between center-left liberal and hard-core socialist. I think I'd be at home in the established social democratic parties of Europe. There are things about every political faction that annoy me though.

I wouldn't call myself a musician, but I've been trying to learn piano on and off for some time now. I've recorded myself playing and uploaded videos of my progress to my YouTube channel . I discovered flat.io (kind of like MuseScore) because I wanted to practice reading music and hear what sheet mu...

When I'm "in my comfort zone" I don't feel autistic and question why I ever thought I might be. It isn't until I'm out and about, having to drive or interact with people in unfamiliar situations or deal with unexpected surprises that I find myself struggling to function in a way that doesn...

Update: Well, I did the platformer intro and understood everything, even tweaked it and added a bunch of stuff to it. I did Pong and understood everything except how the timer/ball reset mechanic worked (understood the theory but couldn't follow the code there for some reason). Then I did Snake, und...

I think what people get offended by is changing, because culture is changing, but it's changing faster than older generations can adapt, so there is friction between the older and younger generations about what is socially acceptable. Older people frame this as "everyone is too easily offended ...

It occurred to me this may be an American phenomenon I'm encountering. The question though is, what if the justice system was infallible?

So this is kind of a weird one because because it's not like this is a particularly important or relevant social issue to me, and it has never been in the mainstream political discourse as long as I've been alive and paid attention to politics. Apparently Dukakis hurt his campaign when he said he op...

I don't know about socially acceptable vs socially unacceptable special interests, but anything theoretical or academic it seems like is a conversation killer. Acceptable topics of conversation include sports, a TV show or some kind of skill related hobby like guitar, learning Spanish or cooking. No...

I spent years after high school isolated with no friends, possibly agoraphobic. I didn't date or lose my virginity until I was 26. I'm 35 now and in my first relationship ever after one year. Before that I had the hopeless "Forever Alone" mindset. I don't know anything about you, but here'...
