" Antarctica, the world's iciest continent, is 'greening' at a dramatic rate " A portion of the world's iciest, coldest continent is "greening" at a dramatic rate because of global warming, scientists announced in a recent study. In fact, the research showed that vegetation cover... |

After further reflection...
If they are organized to seek new employees needing a guardian then it logically follows all (or almost all) of their new employees do need a guardian.
I wonder what working in that environment would be like for the rare employee who does not need a guardian. |

Last night I watched: Top Secret! [1984] <=> "Movie? What movie?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DQ3URc4KiM It is OK . R . E . C . O . M . M . E . N . D . E . D . If you don't mind it being absurd. You might be surprised to learn it has nothing at all to do with Mar-a-Lago. |

Plaid eggs and a nap.
How do you get all of those coffee beans out of your upper nose?! The left nose is passable so they must've gone in there but the right nose is blocked and so they cannot go out there! (This explains your brown eyes, however.) |

I would've thought there would be odd things that make L3 folk uncomfortable. You don't have to understand bright lights or pervasive noises to be bothered by them. And I can't say I understood why when my parents offered me color samples I chose the ones I did. I think making folk happier and more ... |

I'd tell them it was good to see them again and update them on family events.

I think they are trying to accommodate employees that need a guardian. Which is probably a good thing...they are trying to help.
Just tell them that you don't have or need a guardian and will represent yourself. |

Welcome to WP! I hope you keep visiting here.
And, as far as coming to terms with the diagnosis...if you got this far without it then maybe your diagnosis, like mine, will turn out to be more interesting than useful? |

Elgee,
I'm a Level 1 and I think my parents accommodations helped me a lot.
And, are you saying the Level 3 folk can't be helped?
(I would've guessed noise and light levels would've mattered more for them.) |

Well, since getting full-time employment and my own place to live there have been a "few" books added to my collection. Oh, and stuff from magazine subscriptions. As technology progressed I've added quite a few CDs. And our movie collection is, um, a few shelves. |

The Level 3 living conditions you describe leave ample room for discomfort. Having a private bedroom is certainly something I would absolutely, absolutely want but...what about ambient noise? TV privileges and control? Food choice? Freedom of choices for how they spend their time and who with? Cloth... |

Re Level 1 & 2: Yes, stress and anxiety can affect anyone. I think my question would be whether overall, statistically, Autistics, on average, over a lifetime, have more hours of stress than a typical NT. For instance, in school it certainly appeared to me that I got more attention from bullies ... |
