From Yahoo!, attributed to Fortune: " Why COVID isn't like the flu (yet) in one brutal graph " “We’re now trying to treat [COVID] like a seasonal influenza and it’s just not yet,” Dr. Michael Osterholm, director of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Po...

I worked in computer security for 20 years and this affects my opinion. I do not applaud Snowden. He didn't like that NSA was collecting some data so he: + -   Borrowed a co-worker's password to extract information about the data collection. +-+ Superficially that framed the co-worker for the data b...

Computers are good! Hardware or software?

I started programming in 1971 (yes, I'm old!), studied Computer Science in college, worked in computers 'til retirement, and still enjoy them.

I just don't trust them! :hmph:

How about Fail Factory?

Just a bunch of videos of people screwing up.

Some are funny. Some persuade me, however, that NTs enjoy some things I don't.

I think two of my words bear emphasis: "eventually casually". Unless you have to, I wouldn't lead with Autism. After they get to know you and have concluded you're an OK person even though you have some quirks then, without making a big thing of it or trying to start a conversation, toss ...

They almost certainly have preconceptions about Autistics. I know I did before I discovered I might be one. If you are high-functioning enough then you might be able to adjust their preconceptions by eventually casually mentioning that you are Autistic. That's a good idea! I think two of my words b...

I found these on the Internet: * - Healthhype.com " House Fly Diseases, Types, Spread and Prevention " * - Sciencealert.com " Flies Are Much More Disgusting And Disease-Ridden Than We Suspected " It seems the risk from an individual incident is low, but not zero. And, mathematica...

You can wish someone a good evening or night with the phrase: buenas noches.

If you want to wish them a good day the correct phrase is: buenas douches.

The term for a barrel with one end open is "buck". A small one is a "buckette"; over time, the term has been shrunk to "bucket".
