Two plausible reasons for having as little contact as possible with her: 1. Guilt by Association. You won't be the only person to figure out she is not a good person. And other people who consider her to be a bad person will also suspect those around her. 2. The odds are in her favor. You would have...

I think you already know you shouldn't tie your future to hers because your future would suffer.

Last night we watched: Dracula's Daughter [1936] <=> "She gives you that weird feeling!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa0jV3wsgZs The movie is OK but I don't think I'd recommend it unless you were an informed fan of the genre who really wanted to see it. I'm not exactly sure what that &...

I was diagnosed A u t i s m S p e c t r u m D i s o r d e r , L e v e l 1   ( M i l d ) at age 64 in 2019. However, the written Psychological Evaluation that documented my diagnosis included the observation that I also displayed many of the qualities of what was previously known as Asperger's Syndro...

I think people are imprecise because they assume you will know what they meant...even though their phrasing is so vague you know it could mean a lot of different things.

The psychologist who did my Adult Autism Assessment did not take insurance, either. But after I paid her bill I submitted it to my insurance and they sent me a check for part of the bill.

Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) I saw this film at the theater, and I thought it was too long at the time, but I enjoyed it. Watching it again on DVD, and the length does not seem that long, and I still enjoyed it. I can understand where it may not be for everyone. Is this a film that appe...

Do you want to know? Absolutely, why wouldn't I want to know? I want to understand myself. It would provide context for my struggles. Perhaps you just answered the question of whether or not you should get a formal assessment. P.S. The diagnosis process was kind of fun! I enjoyed it! It was "f...

I can't say I'm partial to doing anything special for the birthdays that are multiples of ten. They're just birthdays like all the others and make me a year older. For my most recent birthday my bride cooked a meal she knew I would like and consider to be special. But she likes to cook. I would've a...

It sounds like you got an informed opinion from your therapist...not a formal diagnosis. There is a standardized testing process for making a formal diagnosis. It should be administered by a psychologist who works with Autism and with patients your age...and, ideally, who fits into your insurance co...

Last night we watched: WereWolf of London [1935] <=> "Beware! Terror strikes in the night!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QiRyuwdnbA Essentially, a good drama. Some observations from the IMDb trivia for this film: > - This film made up much of its werewolf mythology out of whole cloth. ...
