I'm not making fun of you, I'm horrified. It's like you want to wipe each other out.

Nothing much Americans do shocks me anymore. But a female shooter...how bad must it be over there for a woman to go that far? Statistically, mentally unwell women are more likely to harm themselves than others.

I am so excited. I might have said once or a hundred times that we're planning to move house next year. I just found the perfect course for my daughter to do. She is doing a level 3 course her, and I found a course at the place we want to move to called a foundation course which bridges the gap betw...

Well for myself, I've always mystified a great many neurotypicals, as often when others can very hungry and look to me; making the inquiry, " Are you not hungry as well?" Well, often I'm not necessarily hungry like other people, in that I don't actually feel hunger from my internal sensor...

Thank you for your support, WP friends. He is a lot better, he is pretty tough. He is one of those men who will go to work even if he's nearly dying. With a previous illness, a terrible flu, I had to put him to bed and say 'you're not going to work' and phone his boss myself. He said thanks for your...

Thanks for your supportive comment Purplepuffin, I'd forgotten about this post. :) I might try and make friends when we move house but I decided I'm going to focus on joining clubs about topics I enjoy e.g. films, and not focus on the people. If I make friends, I do. If I don't, I don't. I keep myse...

Something that a lot of British people may not realise about Australia is that it's quite big- about 32 times the size of the UK. The southern states of Australia are a lot cooler than the northern states, which have tropical weather. In winter it snows on some of the mountains in the southern stat...

When I was in Melbourne, any Australians I told that I was going to visit Ramsay Street seemed embarrassed - either for their country or for me, not sure which! I thought they should be proud of their main cultural export but it seems it's not that popular in Australia. Or at least not respected. I...

It is painful but that's what drugs are for. You wouldn't be expected to go through teeth extraction without pain relief, so why go through childbirth without it? However, having children is an ENORMOUS commitment, only do it if you are 100% sure about it. And if you have a great network of friends,...

I've given up on NT's this year. They always love me at first, drama class and all those hours have made me a master at interacting with them, in small doses. If they need something from me they'll put up with me because I have value to them, eventually they do an equation and realize I annoy them ...

Honestly, I think it's got absolutely nothing to do with autism so much as it does with confidence and authority. And unfortunately, much of the natural autistic body language screams anything but confidence and authority to NT folks. Granted, I'm not neurotypical, but I've literally played one on ...

The usual thing: I am having a nice conversation via email with someone, in this case a financial adviser. I told her I am not comfortable talking on the phone so could we continue our conversation via email? So she bl00dy phoned me up. 'Just a quick call' FFS. I ignored the phone because there was ...

There are feminist forums that are toxic. I think the internet makes people angry and discontent and its natural to blame the 'other'. Often i have to check myself in order not to become the thing i dislike. To remember there are people on the other end of the internet cable. Its all a big waste of...

I'll hang around and wait for that then

Really though, as long as the Earth stays healthy for my daughter and her children to thrive and have good long lives, I'll be happy. So another 100 years of good life will be fine.
