I've given up on NT's this year. They always love me at first, drama class and all those hours have made me a master at interacting with them, in small doses. If they need something from me they'll put up with me because I have value to them, eventually they do an equation and realize I annoy them ... |

Honestly, I think it's got absolutely nothing to do with autism so much as it does with confidence and authority. And unfortunately, much of the natural autistic body language screams anything but confidence and authority to NT folks. Granted, I'm not neurotypical, but I've literally played one on ... |

The usual thing: I am having a nice conversation via email with someone, in this case a financial adviser. I told her I am not comfortable talking on the phone so could we continue our conversation via email? So she bl00dy phoned me up. 'Just a quick call' FFS. I ignored the phone because there was ... |

There are feminist forums that are toxic. I think the internet makes people angry and discontent and its natural to blame the 'other'. Often i have to check myself in order not to become the thing i dislike. To remember there are people on the other end of the internet cable. Its all a big waste of... |

I'll hang around and wait for that then
Really though, as long as the Earth stays healthy for my daughter and her children to thrive and have good long lives, I'll be happy. So another 100 years of good life will be fine. |

So...just dont go there. I avoid it. I don’t think people should have to avoid a forum because of misogyny, especially if it’s one they want to post in. It’s not at all fair to women who struggle with romance too. Those who regularly write misogynistic posts/threads shouldn’t be allowed to run the ... |

` The soaps definitely present an idealised version of Australia, although it's accurate for some of Australia some of the time. In Melbourne we CAN have beautiful weather, but it's very changeable and can be quite cold in winter. Most Australians live in suburbs and not that close to the beach. No... |

Yes. English soaps are always miserable but Australian ones tend to be sunny, warm, and people care about each other. Are people in England really friendly to their neighbors? Honest question, I've never been there. The opposite of real life! Oooh boy. There's this reputation that Australians are e... |

Thank you both.
He is feeling a lot better now, he slept better last night and feels more normal, he says.
We're trying to avoid our daughter getting it because she has a college trip next week that she doesn't want to miss! |

If you're going to come into my thread and insult something I like, please go away again. I don't do that to you, so don't be unfair. |

Also I love to see the sunny, warm weather of Australian soaps. It's so cheering during the endless dull, rainy, cold, depressing English winter/spring/summer/autumn. English soaps are depressing but the Australian ones always feature beaches, sunshine, barbecues, swimming pools etc. Such a nice cha... |

"Ppl" are simply tribalistic naked apes. Many are more than happy to form groups that discriminate against other "competitors". "Nature of the beast." What can you do? Yes, and it's exaggerated now due to the information tidal wave and the internet isn't it. Tribes are... |

I'm afraid we all have to do that. Including us NT schmucks. It is psychologically draining and dissonant to have to smile and "take it" from unpleasant people we all have to work with. I'm afraid even NTs have to learn to grin and bear it. It's not a walk in the park to be not allowed to... |

[What! You must watch an episode! To be honest, whenever I've had to watch scenes from Neighbours or Home and Away or other Australian soaps, the acting, storylines and dialogue have grated on my nerves. They're just not to my taste, I'm afraid. I just find it comforting and silly, I'm not looking ... |
