I think, if I was only allowed to listen to music from one decade, the sixties might have to be it. https://youtu.be/6JElrEbAcwY?si=BbXImUFMqCc7ctuJ https://youtu.be/dL60VXOXtSQ?si=R94Vbj-fuzhFZQpt https://youtu.be/N5IrxdIU_iw?si=QAkAwBFR3sqRaSO5 Oh mama... https://youtu.be/3kh6K_-a0c4?si=n-HzEr52um...

Have you seen this?

It's a pretty amazing documentary about a diver and an octopus who develop a very close, almost romantic, relationship. I had no idea octopi were so intelligent until I watched this.

If I've read your post correctly the girl in question was right there when you said this? Firstly, I'd say your friend put both you and the girl in an awkward position here. Do you have any idea what his intentions were? But also, yes, I think your response could have been a bit more considerate tow...

That was pretty hot sauce until things took a dark turn around verse 22.

The biggest problem I have with books people argue about they can end up in war and killing milions. Would that be a good reason to ban books? Of course not. People should accept that others have different views and live on. Everybody should be able to make it's own choices. That's kind of what I w...

Watching my kid play football for her school. I've never in my life enjoyed watching a football match before. But I got excited and shouted and cheered, stuff I'd never normally do. I never really understood why people get so invested in watching sports, but I had a little insight into it today.

We Live In Time . This is a romantic drama with Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield. It was...ok. Just. A bit of an unremarkable story which they tried to jazz up with a non-linear scene structure. A very unrealistic portrayal of cancer treatment. Andrew Garfield's character forgot to have any. Flore...

Occupied is a really interesting word to use about being in a relationship. Are you occupied with someone? Or with the relationship itself? Or do you just mean occupied as in not available, like a toilet cubicle? Or are you occupied by them? Like a sort of benign demonic posession where you welcome ...

I've always taken extremely hot baths precisely because I find it mentally and physically calming. I didn't know it was called hyperthermia therapy. If I had access to a sauna I'd probably use it a lot.

I don't like eating in front of people and always try to eat alone if possible. I don't like the idea of people smelling my food, asking me about my food or watching me eat it. Close family only enjoy this privilege.

There's a great little Australian series on UK Netflix at the moment called You can't ask that! . Each episode takes a group of people (Alcoholics, Intersex people, domestic abuse survivors, suicide attempt survivors, little people etc.) and asks them the questions that most of us would like to ask,...

I've never heard 'root' used in that way by a Brit. Only ever heard it from our antipodean cousins. I don't know what your UK correspondant was getting worked up about.

Beware of the Daily Telegraph's culture war bs. This once great newspaper is pure agenda-driven trash these days. Yes the study exists and was published in July 2024. This is concocted into 'news' for 2025. If you look at the study: Converts to Orthodoxy You'll see that they're talking about 124 con...
