Abortion is an extremely volatile issue for Republicans. To see Trump so pushed into a corner that he had to come out and declare his stance on Florida's proposition, and that he came out against it is... Well, it's something that Democrats need to pounce on. This is one of the most foolish... |

JWs are supposed to confess what’s considered major sins to elders. Then there’s a mock trial (“Judicial Committee”) in which they determine your guilt, “heart condition,” and what your punishment will be if they think it’s warranted. I’ve been there. as*holes. For lesser sins like masturbation, JW... |

Hi yall. Right-wing media such as Fox News like to get senior citizens to cash out their 401ks and Roth IRAs and IRAs and buy a bunch of gold with them and put all their retirement in physical gold. Many times the gold has high-commission and sell special collectors coins that have numismatic value b... |

Given how Jehovah's Witnesses are very, well, I want to say reclusive, but that's not the word I'm looking for - (it is pretty much a cult from my understanding, so they discourage outside interaction) I'm very surprised to hear how many of them go to public school instead of being homeschooled. I'... |

This is probably a preference thing but I'm sure being on the spectrum may play a role in this. I don't like to wearing socks, I always have issues with seams rubbing on my toes and just for the fact my feet feel chocked and at times itchy. In Warm weather I cannot wear socks at all. I go barefoot ... |

Has anyone else noticed extreme political beliefs (in either direction) are common in the ASD crowd? If so, what are your theories on why? On a different online community, a neurotypical claimed the ASD crowd is more prone to brainwash (and that's her explanation of why a lot of us hold extreme pol... |

What about those Witnesses who believe trades are sinful?Would they just be stuck working a McJob or be a waiter working for min wage their whole life or maybe a manager at McDonald's or Walmart? Yeah, a lot of them work in construction or in some sort of labor type jobs like cleaning. Working for ... |

It's also corporations not wanting to pay people a living wage. In many states, the minimum wage is still $7.25/hr, despite other states raising it to $15-20/hr. The CEOs don't want to pay that much, so they will automate those jobs (like with the self-checkouts you mentioned), or lay people off. I... |
