I moved back to my parent's house, after my last relationship ended. I'm not doing too good. I'm depressed, filled with anxiety and jobless. My parents told me that I'd have a place with them, if needed. Recently, my Mom who might be a covert narcissist suggested I move out of the house. They told m...

I know some states have medical cannabis/marijuana, but I've also heard that some of those states being autistic isn't a reason that you can get it. Can anyone with experience or knowledge with this let me know what states make it easier to get medical weed if autistic? I used it in an illegal state...

@Jakki Rofling is a type of bodywork. It works with the body's fascia and muscle. Research is showing we hold stress responses in our bodies and don't release them like animals are able to do. A glitch in our physiology so to speak. The therapist will do specific moves with the muscle and fascia wh...

Hi, I think I must have some sort of "block" that disables me from finding a good web hosting company. I've searched and searched, and I find companies, but I have no clue if they are good, or what. So, if you've set up a website (preferably with Microsoft stack web development (SQL Server...

One theory I have is that we live in a simulation, and perhaps Autistics are the only "real" people. Neurotypicals are what is know as P-Zombies (in the theory), they are basically the Non-Player-Characters of this simulation. While Autistics are the real consciences from outside of the si...

I also have a strong fear of spiders, large crowds, and sharp objects such as knives. I've never really feared spiders, although I did get bit by one two years ago, and the flesh around the bite necroized (is permanently damaged, like dead flesh. Its kinda gross, and I'm stuck with it until death. ...

I guess what I was really asking here, was of the things you fear, can you easily picture things like walking on the edge of building in your mind, and get sweaty palms (like I do)?

I am afraid of heights. I am wondering if other autistics have this like I do. I can even just see a picture of someone on the side of a building and it haunts my thoughts until I forget about it. My hands are sweaty just typing this. I play a computer game, and a new level in it has these terrifyin...

Hi, I live near Oak Ridge National Library, and pre-Covid they had a program that sought out Aspies since we have a good mindset for certain types of work. Has anyone heard of any other programs like this? I'm a computer programmer, and plan to work the rest of my career remotely, as it just makes s...

Yes, websites are always able to be improved - just... not this one. ... I guess Alex would rather have the system running in a stable state, if a slightly imperfect one - and despite the irritations, that does make sense. I'm surprised there hasn't been a revolt yet. How can autistics stand such e...

This is a social media poll, not a coder poll. My favorite programming language is Lisp. This is a searching for Coders, and there's a social media poll at the top, as that's the app I'm trying to build. Lisp, really? I took it in college, I think I got a D, but it seemed like something to use with...

@ sitko Out of curiosity, have I been able to unpack my thoughts a bit better than my first post in my last few comments? Yes, I do the same thing sometimes. Start explaining stuff, and just assuming that everyone can follow my train of thought...even if it derails at times... I think what this com...
