I like the part about the angry commuter who was so incensed apparently he had to film the couple. Yes, when something pisses me off I just have to take a video of it.

I don't know if you can 'cancel' a particular term. What you can do is to make it clear there are consequences if you use it. Like if I was to call a someone a 'dickhead' in close proximity. Sure I can do that but I can't control what happens afterwards.

A diagnosis can confirm what you already knew but it helps in that a treating professional can tell you stuff about autism and associated things you did not know. That's my experience anyway.

There are probably lots of reasons why adults live with their parents. The question for me is: does this matter for anyone else? I've done so for a few periods of a couple of months here and there. Other people have done so for a lot longer but at the end of the day, that is their business.

Put it this way, I wouldn't like to be called mentally ret*d so I would certainly not use the term to describe other people.
