| I don't know if you can 'cancel' a particular term. What you can do is to make it clear there are consequences if you use it. Like if I was to call a someone a 'dickhead' in close proximity. Sure I can do that but I can't control what happens afterwards. |

| A diagnosis can confirm what you already knew but it helps in that a treating professional can tell you stuff about autism and associated things you did not know. That's my experience anyway. |

| There are probably lots of reasons why adults live with their parents. The question for me is: does this matter for anyone else? I've done so for a few periods of a couple of months here and there. Other people have done so for a lot longer but at the end of the day, that is their business. |

| Put it this way, I wouldn't like to be called mentally ret*d so I would certainly not use the term to describe other people. |
