I’m 19 and not in school or working. I have no plans for my life and have no direction on what to do next. I’m so depressed everyday. I don’t know what to do, does anyone have good career ideas? Should I go to college? I have no friends and feel like post college age it’s really hard to make friends... |

I hate travelling, I like to stay at home with my own things around me, where I know I can get food and drink that I are safe for me and I don't have to search for. Travelling is tiring and quite scary sometimes. Oh yes and I feel awful when travelling, any sort of motion makes me feel sick and it ... |

Where you feel like your the main character in the world and everyone else is an NPC. I feel disconnected from everyone else and like I’m the only one who truly exists. It’s a very weird feeling and hard to describe. I think it has to be an autism thing for sure, I don’t know what else could cause t... |

Not sure how you define traveling but I like to go to Hawaii. I tend to always go to the island of Kauai and stay in the same condo and even rent the same room of the condo, if it is available. I wander across the same beaches and lay underneath the same palm trees on the beach whenever I go. It is... |

Most people I know say traveling and seeing new things is one of their favorite things to do, but I personally never saw the appeal. Is this an autism thing, or just a me thing? Curious to hear what everyone has to say |

Yes. He is a "lol cow" for a whole...subculture on the Web. As I understand it. ------ If he had a way to monetize all of the attention (good, and bad) that he gets- and money went to getting him mental health support then...I wouldnt mind folks laughing at him (if they could pay him for ... |

I do in passing curiosity. And no, I don't relate to that person's autism, lifestyle and interests or circumstances. As a person -- nope. Unless my desire to keep things to myself (including special interests, any existing passions and expressions, let alone identity) is non-existent, along with my... |

I've been aware of Chris since I was like 11. lol I don't really have any comments on her level of functioning. I relate to some aspects of her upbringing, but I didn't "turn out" how she did so I don't relate to her behaviour much. A lot of her behaviour seems to be due to mental illness... |

https://youtu.be/8z9WHi2CMlg Chris Chan is the most documented person on the internet apparently and has previously stated that they have HFA(high functioning autism) however looking at their behavior I see them more as mid functioning. For those aware of them, how would you classify their level of ... |

It probably depends on exactly what things you struggle with and your definition of “living independently.” For this purpose, I’m not sure it really matters what’s due to what, I’d just try to identify what you can manage well enough yourself, what you have trouble with, and if/how you could try to... |

I have been told I likely have autism at 16 by a therapist, and when I was no longer seeing him, my dad was told by him to get a therapist for a child with ASD. I have severe trouble functioning now and am turning 19 in two weeks. This could also be due to adhd, bipolar, ocd and severe drug abuse in... |

I'm not sure what you mean. How am I able to do so much of what? I don't do much at all. I left work on disability. I pay the bills from disability pay /retirement pay. I don't think I get away with anything at this stage. I put in all the effort about 20-30 years ago. I don't have an intellectual ... |

Evidence I don't function without support: When I didn't have support, I tried to do things on my own and failed miserably. Sure I went to school and had a career but they nearly killed me (stress, lack of support, medical problems, frequent hospitalisations, adrenal collapse, strokes). I was also ... |

I’m very sorry you had to go through all this, genuinely am very sorry. Right now I am an 18 year old man and am very lost in what to do with life, and I can relate to some of your problems. What were you doing at 18? Has your medication helped any of your issues? If the medication has helped, what... |
