This has been discussed a million times before. I choose not to throw a panic tantrum this time and just take these sensationalised 'studies' with a grain of salt. Sorry if I haven't seen all the earlier posts. They matter, for sure. But I think that it is important, and something to keep talking a... |

I don't feel shame in the knowledge of having Asperger's. But I do feel shame in all those decades of trusting in people that I thought were my "friends". Like you, I trusted in people who I now know, were only out to be manilpulative. So, stop that! Many of us are intellectuals, with some... |

So, I stumbled on this page, which despite reading several books about adult ASD; this little article has been really eye-opening: https://goodautismschool.com/autism-lifespan/ First is the low life expectancy of those with general autism (classic and HFA) and "learning disorders", which i... |

Self-checkout always has people hovering over you, walking up and taking over the checkout process because they think everyone is too dumb to know how to scan items, or they think certain items must go in certain bags, or how to pay. If you need help, ask for it. If you're acting suspicious, sure so... |

Hey sohil142003, Can you check in and let us know that you're ok, or if you need something? Been thinking about this and worrying about you. Ignore the chatting going on here. We are all autistic and may unintentionally roam from what's important, which you, sohil142003 sent as the original poster. ... |

Alot of us here understand what you're saying and have been there or are even there now. You are among friends, even if virtual. Everyone makes mistakes and people like us make a whole mountain more of mistakes than usual, so we know that you can get past it. I know someone who spent over 12 years i... |

Like maybe some others here, I despise social media. I left FB 6 years ago and haven't looked back, with so many people divided by politics. No interest in other social media. Still, I have tons of photos and videos I'd like to share whether to family and friends or even publically, by sending a lin... |

Its not just learning other languages, but learning other cultures too. And the idea of "being given a pass" by other cultures who see our ASD condition, and are maybe a little more patient with us than they'd be with a neurotypical. What fascinated me was that primary school, and college ... |

Anyone know the story of Matthew Shepherd? He left a gay bar in Wyoming in 1998 and was brutally tortured and left to die. So sad. It spawned new laws and was a major news story at the time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Shepard I’ve read his mom, Judy’s, book about him “The Meaning of Matth... |
