I would probably look younger if it wasn't for the dark patches under my eyes from the insomnia :S

I never played the fallout games (1+2) back in the day. Got them at gog.com but they are just too old and awkward to play nice now, couldn't get into them :( I thought F3 was ok but it felt a little generic, that and the town design was horrible (big town and little town :S ). The combat was fun, if...

After seeing some reviews I think what has happened so they made the game linear and story driven, like pretty much all shooters these days. Instead of going around and blowing stuff up and finding secrets and getting cool guns you follow a colourful tunnel, only use guns available, limited ammo, et...

I am a gamer, I live games. Games are my interest. Specifically PC games. Boy I could talk all day about games. Not a gamer. Have always believed in their brain-rotting effects. I guess I disagree with you there. When games become an obsession (like with many MMO's) and you start failing school or q...

I still enjoy the occasional game of the original or Civ 4. The problem I have, though, is that the micromanagement requirements get higher and higher the more I progress, and eventually I get sick of trying to keep track of it all and just abandon it. Does anyone know if there's a game mode that w...

Hi. I'm noticing the ages of the first 3 posters...If it goes for you like it did for me, you'll find your mind will start slowing down a little bit in the mid-thirties. The experience I had in my late teens and through my twenties...there were times I also couldn't sleep at night - even if very ti...

I have a big thing about substances that affect the mind, I do not like it. I drink iced coffee drinks and limit myself to 2 max per day. Also drink tea but only at night, maybe 1-3 cups a day, nothing major.

Yeah this is me. My biggest strength is figuring things out, so I can "wing it" but sustained social interaction is so difficult. I know I should do many things, I know how to do them but for some reason there is this big divide between knowing and doing :(

Get diagnosed, get on medication, and do everything your therapist says. You cannot make any more decisions in life because you are not an expert I agree, you need professional family therapy. Professional therapy is a good idea, but make sure the professional you find is experienced with Asperger'...

I don't see a problem with the word, only the label. A diagnosis can be helpful in getting the aid one might need. The label has connotations and pre-conceived ideas attached and often limit or hurt your chances (ie "but you don't look like an autistic!").

Malicious behaviour (the lying and bullying) like that doesn't sound much like autism. Sounds a little sociopathic with OCD. Maybe he does have autism, but it does not sound like the only problem. Seems like a bad situation for you :( You could tape your brother doing that stuff to you maybe, but I ...

Trying to get me to make the dog mind = Trying to teach me how to make the dog obey me. The dog won't obey me. For some reason my brain went straight to "Making the dog mind" as some kind of activity that involves emulating or creating a dog's mind. Then I realized this was nonsense, and looked aga...

I only heard of AS a few years ago myself. I am well past school. When I first started reading about it it was like suddenly so much made sense. Thing is I am also quite smart, probably my biggest strength is figuring things out so I have "figured out" how to avoid acting odd, long ago. I have a pre...

I have heard this song on the radio a few times and started really liking it. Kind of odd, I don't usually like this sort of music. I dunno, I just really like it. So I just looked it up on youtube and now I just love it. Artist is Kimbra, from New Zealand but based in Australia. Kimbra - Cameo Love...

Hrmm. Unintentionally pissing people off would be a symptom of not realising, or assuming, information about the person you piss off. So say you comment on some woman "oh wow you are pregnant? That must be exciting!" would almost certainly piss that women off if she was not pregnant. So as Aspie's, ...
