Some socialist thinkers postulate that socialism is a worldwide effort, and that having a (Democratic) Socialist country here or there can't work. Therefore to condemn a particular country for not doing well under socialism is like condemning a hybrid car for not winning a race against a muscle car....

Hmm, do you have polls that suggest that? Seems more that anyone against controlling free speech would be against political correctness. I'm against the government controlling speech. Persuading people to alter their speech for a reason is also free speech. No one is forced to comply. The only enfo...

I think we can have the best of both worlds. Government should do things where a profit motive would be bad, like health care and Social Security, and corporations can do what they do best, rewarding hard work and innovation, and raising capital from people who want to assume the risk- as long as th...

They're both sane -- and greedy. They make a shedload of money distributing propaganda to gullible viewers, but represent manufactured differences designed to keep Americans divided. They are both mouthpieces for the two-headed, one-party snake that serve American corporate interests. I don't have ...

The ones I see complaining about not getting results are those who contribute the least.

You sold out for pennies. People are getting lower tax refunds and they aren't happy about it.

So you think caravans of invading illegal aliens crossing the border and murdering American citizens for the heck of it isn't an actual emergency? Oh. My. God. Obama called for 13 of them. Clinton called for about 17 of them. Trump calls for one, and everyone goes berserk. Totally ridiculous and hy...

The New Deal was socialism. You're welcome. The financial bailout was socialism. You're welcome. Seems socialism always comes to the rescue when capitalism fails.

That's a form of deception. The 1% got trillions. You and I didn't get jack.

No one I know jumped to conclusions. If true he deserved our sympathy and empathy. For Trump supporters, you might want to look those words up.

Turn it around on them. Ask them if they have divorced their wife or husband, or broken up yet. Why? Oh, I think you would be happier alone. When they object, end it with, well I just want you to be happy. If you want to let them know you were pretending, you can say See? Doesn't feel very good, doe...

It would seem if one totally hates someone that's what they're likely going to see.

I hate the man, of course, but I hate what he along with his party are doing more. They will never be forgiven for this.

Let's just rename it Christian Supremecy. What exactly is the connection between Christianity and political correctness? In essence, most modern anti-political correctness efforts represent the promotion of patriarchal Christian dominionist values. It's not that they object to controlling thought w...

The important thing here is the political influence of money. While we are bickering about poor Hispanics who are more law abiding than Americans, Republicans are stealing trillions from the treasury.

I can worry about the Republican Party's autocratic tendencies and universal health care at the same time. Trump's tax cuts for the wealthy prove he's a con man, not a populist.

Journalists reported the story, which is that he reported being attacked. Now you are attacking the media the same way Trump attacks the media. This isn't the American way. The 1st amendment is at least as important as the 2nd, that why they made it first.
