Why would you go through with plans to vacation to a city you know is going to be hit by a hurricane? Unless you wanna drown. TBH, I probably wouldn't go during or in the immediate aftermath. Although, going afterwards to volunteer is probably doable for folks with the ability to lend a hand. But, ...

The more I think about it the more obvious that these so called “superpowers” are just a myth that both NT’s and autistic people have entertained the idea of for years. Heightened abilities exist statistically throughout the human population including NT population many jobs require them as a core ...

I haven't heard the term tankies but this idea that the country is divided between the far right and the far left is just false. The division is between those on the far right and those on the moderate center. The left is nearly nonexistent in the US. Agreed. But why is the left, here in the U.S.A....

I mean who wires their lifesavings to some girl on the internet who is bouncing around in front of a webcam when they have a wife and family?? Probably men who aren't satisfied sexually, or who want to boost their ego imagining those women care about them. Also a lot of men are just bored or curiou...

If money is not important in dating, then how many women date homeless men? TBH, I think it's somewhat more complicated. It is a factor, but unless you're fairly far out on the distribution, it's not a crucial factor. That being said, regardless of where you are on the income distribution, for wome...

Sadly, stochastic terrorism has become the defining characteristic of American conservatism now. Even convincing the GOP to return to their Bush-era platform would get you labeled a radical leftist. Yes, although we're probably closer to that than it might seem, the main impediment to that is that ...

I am really confused. My psychiatrist suggested I needed to go for an autism assessment and that my schizophrenia/schizoaffective diagnosis needs to be reviewed. But all the information I have been looking at, I can see no link between autism and psychosis. Autism does not cause psychosis, so why d...

There just isn't that much news that's relevant to the average viewer so they fill in the gaps with utter nonsense. It's gotten very hard to get good coverage of local news because most of the stations have been bought up by major corporations that don't want to pay for local coverage. Has there ev...

Do people here have trouble with buttons? Im talking about buttoning up your shirts. I can skip a button. I can put my t-shirt on inside out too, I can have trouble putting my pants on, I can put my leg in the wrong pant hole. When I was in elementary school, my pants was on backward. LOL. Maybe th...

Mine fluctuates as is my sensitivity (how much something will cost me) and stamina levels (how much I can afford to take something). There are too many factors. Unaccommodated sensory dysregulation issues and pain, unfiltered processing environmental input that will take too much brain power to go ...

That depends on what time and where we're talking about. There was a golden age of sorts in the mid-century where there was some degree of integrity, but those days are well behind us now here in the US and there's been little to no effort to properly cover topics that are inconvenient to the owner...

Personally I want all drugs cheap and legal with low to no taxes and very lightly regulated and available to all with the ability to buy anywhere and everywhere not just pot.I think pot at least needs to be legal and cheap enough so it can compete with the street pot. And when there are no conseque...

Personally I don't smoke pot anymore but I do believe that each person has the right to decide that for themselves. The same applies to alcohol; I don't drink but I don't want someone telling me I can't. If I don't hurt anyone it's all about personal freedom to live my life as I want. At the same t...

Old timey newscasts weren't subject to the level of scrutiny modern news is subject to in terms of ethical and moral frameworks. there was a few weird quirks that aren't present. For example the Australian broadcasting commission (ABC) required news readers to have an educated British accent right ...
