I have some criticism of Broad Autism Phenotype. Broad Autism Phenotype seems to blur the lines between a neurotypical that has persistent autistic traits and a person with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Tha argument can be made is if s person has a diagnosis or not. There are also some people that have... |

I personally achieve far fewer goals now that I'm married to a woman that thinks that positive thinking is the only thing that actually matters and prioritizes short term over the long term. So, step one is don't get involved with people that have no interest in actually getting anything done, it ju... |

But, they got bought out, they stopped posting the articles and eventually, they made it impossible to send messages to people unless both sides already liked each other. Which made my response rate go from something north of 50% to something on the order of 0% in no time. Like I said, I still get ... |

TBH, women are the absolute worst when it comes to communicating romantic interest clearly. It's unlikely that she was interested in you, that sounds like more or less just normal friendliness. |

I used to love OKC back in the day, but I was checking it out not long ago, and it is WEIRD now. Much more like Hot or Not, where it just pops up a bunch of mini profiles and you choose "yes" or "no". Yeah, it was bought out by a big conglomerate, and they've been systemically d... |

Oh we are having the is Aspergers Autism debate. It used to be a common topic here but it has been a while. IMHO Aspergers is a subcatagory of Autism. The main argument for they are different conditions is that Aspergers looks so different then the more severe manifestations of Autism. A burn recei... |

I'm assuming that part of the issue there is why the doors were able to be opened from inside. In the US, police cars rear doors don't generally open from the inside and even regular cars usually have a way of setting them up so they don't open from the inside so that small children can't do this so... |

Cornflake, you're the boss. I respect your decision. But if WP is going to be the same as Reddit, with trolls, edgelords and bad actors being platformed and empowered, then it isn't a safe place any more, and there's little point in it existing. And when I see any of those things being platformed a... |

This really isn't helpful for the discussion of vaccines. A bunch of the stuff in there is true, but not relevant to the point you're making, and having RFK JR in health and human services isn't likely to do much to improve the situation when working for somebody that's likely to be pro-business an... |

^^^ No, fewer vaccines cause more childhood health problems and death, and do not prevent autism. You can believe anything you like, but you'll never convince the rest of us of something that isn't true. I could care less about convincing anyone about anything, I suspect that most never actually do... |

Hoy en día la gente está muy frágil y no aguanta ni lo más mínimo. I'm not convinced about that. You hear it a lot. I don't think people are any more or less fragile than they have ever been. I do think a certain subset of online commentator use it as a 'truism' without ever supplying any evidence ... |

Depending on where you live, there might be a "Soup kitchen" giving out Thanksgiving dinner to the destitute and you could probably volunteer to help with them. At least you wouldn't be alone and they would probably give you a free dinner as well. That's probably the route that I'd recomm... |

Would say the DSM V criteria gets it right: -socially -strong presence of obsessive and repetitive behaviors That's all. These differences are notably more present than they are in NTs, and also caused cuz our brains are quite literally wired differently. In theory, the problem comes down to how th... |

Is this a safe space for autistic people? The world is a dangerous place for autistic people. The Internet is arguably worse. Autistic people are vulnerable. We are routinely bullied, othered, excluded. We come in here desperately looking for somewhere we feel safe, somewhere we belong. Can content... |
