"When things get out of hand, they (France) know that he (Dembele) plays like an autistic. He doesn't have the ability to make a teammate shine. Mbappe is a bit like that too." Is that supposed to be a description of how autistics play football? I am not saying Lionel Messi is autistic, b...

^In this context chasing is when you are insisting to make contact with someone that is showing no interest.

So what they lessened was "the behavioural aspects of autism" in a pair of toddlers. Whether they feel "cured" or not remains to be seen until they are old enough to speak for themselves.

I think chasing a woman is a bad idea unless you want to keep up with that kind of behaviour during your relationship with her. There is no reason why you should be more interested in you having a relationship with each other than she is.

One obstacle on the path to recognizing autistic people as a marginalized community is that the LGBT community has spent much of the past century trying to fight the characterization of them as having a disability. Homosexuality was for a long time thought to be a mental illness that could be cured...

People supporting other groups or causes for what other think is the wrong reasons happens all the time. Fractions of American christians support Israel at the same time that they hate jews while other American christians support Trump even though they know that he's an atheist and adulterer. Donald...

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the long term. Israel's and U.S. first respons will no doubt be defiant. As far as I know, if you illegally occupy a territory you have by international law no right to self defence against the people resisting the occupation.

At public toilets I prefer if the seat and lid is left up by the previous user. If not I lift it up with my foot/shoe so I don't have to touch it with my hand. If there is a woman outside waiting for her turn I put the seat down by using my foot/shoe. At my home I usually put the seat down before I ...

I always wash my hair before I visit the hairdresser to avoid any suggestions about that. What I want is the hairdresser to cut my hair and shut up. Especially if the hairdresser is male I try to keep the balance between appearing silent in a rude way and at the same time not encourage a lot of smal...

^It seems to be various versions of these "findings". I didn't read the linked article, but read an behind-paywall article in The Guardian recently about some scientists taking stool sample from autistic people an injecting it to mice. They claim the mice then started to show "autism-...

I find it very hard to believe that the difference between autistic people and allistic people is caused by different gut bacteria. To be honest I doubt the spectrum of symptoms we lump together and call "autism" is one condition, but several different conditions that share some of the sym...

There's nothing wrong with venting as long as it's not presented as a request for advice. Speaking only for myself, I'm autistic and most of the time I can't tell whether it's presented as a request for advice or not. I am not sure I can tell that either. But I don't usually vent myself, so when so...
