So in other words, there is no ethics in modern medicine? No sworn ethics to which doctors hold themselves? Nothing at all? How did you come to that conclusion? The ethics adhered to by doctors arise from their study and practice of medicine, not by the application of laws concocted in some legisla...

I know that. Then what was your point? Are you making deliberately fallacious arguments in the hopes that I won't refute them? Your posts make less and less sense. We were talking about free expression, and it sounded like you were endorsing it. But then you reminded me who the rule-maker is around...

So ... you should be able to verbally offend someone w/o fear of reprisal from Big Brother? If such a policy were implemented here on WP, no one would have anything to whine to the mods about. Free expression can work for you and against you. What a concept. Slowmutant, this is a private forum. Mea...

Whenever someone talks about the importance of free speech, he is usually talking about the importance of his free speech. He wants to be protected by the TPTB against anyone who would speak ill against him but at the same time allowed to speak ill against anyone at any time. Funny how that goes. A...

I agree that abortion can be made unecessary and preventable, but there are some women who delight in having abortions because that is their big f*** you to men . It causes me a lot of grief to think that some of these unborn children did not really have to be terminated. Just a stunt. For a laugh,...

You are one of those people who hold funerals for fetal tissue aren't you? Maybe. If fetal tissue was all that remained of my unborn child, maybe. For a female, you are pretty cold-blooded. Sometimes I get the impression that the average "modern" woman would kill a family of four in their home if i...

You're really into drugs, aren't you Sand? Absolutely. I take a baby aspirin every day to prevent blood clots, I take Simvastatin for a cholesterol problem, and Nexium to hold down digestive acid. I drink at least one cup of coffee per day for caffeine and I take vitamins C,B,D and E. I have a real...

If you like to play with words, the reverse of evil is live and the reverse of God is dog. Do you find that significant? Coincidence. If you gather enough words together in a pile you can find dozens, nay, hundred of such coincidences. ruveyn Yeah, like one of those word-search puzzles or reading t...
