Fantasy Fiction is a very romanticized version of Monarchy, where the primary characters are part of the elite and have power, or are abused the elite and able to take power over them, pretty much never part of the "normal" folks. Who doesn't want to have power and status? To dream you can...

He's unhappy you noticed the bible's explanation of Jesus' life is at odds with his understanding of Jesus' life? Thats essentially it.However he says he does it so he can respect and honor his parents and the church.I guess I will have to wait to talk about Jesus drinking on facebook unt...

There is a stickie thread at the top of the board for parents who are on the spectrum. I think the thread has gotten stale, but the issues they discussed have not. The sensory issues can be a very dominant issue, and I think some coping strategies were discussed in that thread. Worth a read if you h...

Which is ironic seeing how both Russia and China hate the US and would love to see us destroyed, which I believe is the whole reason why they would support Trump as president. They know he will make our country unstable. :skull: It might be more accurate to say they hate our political system, the i...

Different people respond best to different things, but for many of us something in nature is what can make our hearts sing. In nature, we feel closer to God; He seems more present. The ocean, a garden, a trail, a lake, towering redwoods ... whatever makes your heart sing. Another common stimulant th...

If such a ticket would peal away potential Trump voters, I'm all for it. But if it would peal away Republicans who would otherwise be willing to vote for Biden instead of Trump, then I'm not.

It was a scandal that Barbie was not awarded. If the producers had shown suicidal bravery, and total commitment to gaining an award, could it have been a greater travesty? I think not. Honestly, I was surprised Barbie was nominated. Fun movie, very cleverly done, but not among the best I've ever se...

This may sound petty...if any living Japanese has a problem with the film...ask them if they would rather see a movie about the 1937 "Rape of Nanking" in which the Japanese army massacred more Chinese civilians than the number of Japanese civilians who would later die at Hiroshima and Nag...

It seems your country has been hijacked by a scotus that no longer recognizes the US Constitution as the document that governs your country & guides the courts. It pretty clearly says if you engage in insurrection against the constitution that you're ineligible to hold office. RIP USA. The deci...

One would think Democrats wouldn't have that hard of time offering a candidate and platform with more widespread popularity than Donald Trump. It's like they're trying to lose. It’s like they both are trying to lose. Not the first time I've felt that way about my political party. The deference the ...

SCOTUS ruled that Mr. Trump belongs on state ballots.

One step closer to a win.

:(

That isn't exactly what SCOTUS said, although it certainly is the effect. They said that states cannot make the disqualification determination; it has to be at the federal level.

It can be argued that Trump wins the race to the bottom by the simple fact of his efforts to shred the constitution and remove checks and balances. What is considered good policy, and what is considered bad policy, generally varies by time and the sensibilities of the time, but as long as a preside...

The way the prosecutor wrote about the memory issues is disappointing. The examples in the report all came across as within the range of totally normal to me. I’ve never been able to remember years and dates; NEVER. Some people can, some can’t; it’s just the way different brains work. But, the end c...

It ALL comes down to Congress, that alone has the power to provide funds requested by border control AND to change the laws for the asylum process (it is well known by migrants that once you say you are claiming asylum you MUST, by US law, be patrolled back into the U.S. until your hearing, during w...
