Went to the gym as is usual for a Tuesday morning. Managed to drop a 5kg weight on two of the toes on my left foot. Limped around the gym for the rest of the session. Got home and had a look. Little toe is purple and the toe next to it is red. I don't know if they're broken and I don't think I'll bo...

Me too. At the moment, volunteering for 11 hours a week is my limit. I used to also work as a cleaner for 3 hours a week but the place closed down in February. Working full time now would be out of the question.

When I was in my early twenties, I was at an employment conference and was seated at a round table with people I didn't know (and who didn't know each other). We were told to make up groups of four. Instantly the other four at the table made up their group, leaving me out. How did they know how to d...

I have a weird ache in my right shoulder and down the arm. I'm scared in case it's a heart attack. I've had this pain before, a few years ago, so I'm hoping it's just nothing. I don't have pains anywhere else, only down my right arm, and they come and go. They're dull aches. I had trouble swallowin...

I actually think I might have a broken rib I'm gonna monitor the situation but I doubt there's very much that can be done anyway Often there's nothing that can be done for a broken rib. Sometimes it will be taped but I don't know what that does. How did you do it? I broke a rib near my sternum year...

I was in the city, heading towards the train station, when an old homeless guy in a wheelchair yelled out to me (there were plenty of people around, I don't know why he picked me) asking if I would push him to the train station. I was going there anyway, so I thought why not. So once we were near th...

Wow is that old electric shock thing I didn't even know they still did that Electro-convulsive therapy. Yeah, they still do it, though it's improved a lot since they first started doing it. I lost a year's worth of memory when I had it, but nowadays memory loss is minimal. That's a pretty bad injur...

I'm childfree. My three sisters have all had kids, my twin had 3 of them. From an early age she always had dolls and gravitated towards anyone that had a baby. I was the complete opposite. I'm happy to have had no children but I do sometimes wonder who'll look after me when I'm old and need the care.

My longest stay in the nuthouse was three months back in 2005/6. I ended up having ECT because I'd tried a lot of antidepressants and none worked. I ended up feeling better and most importantly, got my sense of humour back.

For the past year my interest has been postage stamps. Before that I went for years without having any special interest. So it can happen that you don't have a special interest, there's nothing wrong with that.

I've lost 4kgs in the last month, hooray!

Part of it might be due to upchucking for 5 hours during the night two weekends ago. My flatmate and I caught a bug from somewhere. She was sick first then 24 hours later it was my turn. Never been so ill in my life. Took me a week to recover fully.

Which medical procedures have you been afraid of and how did you get over it? I am afraid of an unsedated Colonoscopy It has to be unsedated because I don't have a driver I can understand your fear. I'd fear it as well. However, hasn't your sister given up her job recently? Surely she can find time...

I've had two pap smears in my life and both were horrendous experiences. I recently received a reminder in the mail to have another pap smear. However, there was information about doing the pap smear yourself, i.e., taking a swab from your cooch and giving it to your doctor. I think I'll opt for tha...
