^^ Leg weights are not my favourite. My new physio last Tuesday decided that it was legs day for me. Soooo many squats. The result was that I could hardly walk on Wednesday and Thursday. I don't know if I want to go back there!

If you're to have another surgery, TwilightPrincess, it's an idea to tell the anaesthetist that general anaesthesia makes you feel sick. That way, they'll give you an anti-emetic. I have the same issue and made sure when I had jaw surgery that I received an anti-emetic because throwing up with my ja...

Not me, but my auntie. She was diagnosed with haemochromatosis a few years ago. She goes to the doctor regularly to "give blood". So it's the opposite of a transfusion.

I wish you well. :)

Thank you for posting this. I don't get to watch much tv so I didn't know what had happened to the Bondi Vet. I always liked how he treated cats (cats are my favourite), always so caring and gentle.

Isabella - sorry I can't quote you, the quote buttons aren't showing up (along with avatars). Benztropine is slightly seating for me. The doctor had me taking it in the morning at first but then I did some reading and found out that it would be better to take it just before bed. I can empathize abou...

Three eye surgeries when I was a kid and they made my eyes worse. I had my appendix out when I was 22, then had peritoneal infection a week later. When I was 26 I had jaw surgery to correct an overbite. That was successful, I have no complaints. I'm to have another eye surgery in October to straight...

Coke No Sugar. I've stopped drinking it a few times and gotten headaches from the lack of caffeine. At work I drink tropical cordial and at the gym I drink water so it's not all bad I guess.

In 2013 I was in hospital for bipolar depression and they gave me lithium to treat it (had been on other mood stabilisers previously). I got such bad tremors from it that a neurologist was called in to assess my condition. She prescribed benztropine - an anti-parkinsonism medication. At first I suff...

The Brontosaurus has always been my favourite dinosaur.

My first interest was skeletons when I was 5 years old. My sister made me a cardboard one and I carried it around until it wore out.

I live with another autistic (former husband) and we get along very well. She has really strong interests and sometimes bores me with details, but otherwise, fine.

^^I like brown noise the most. I can make pretty good small talk. I learned how to do it in the various workplaces I've been in. I can come up with white lies on the spot. I couldn't do this when I was a kid, it too, was learned. Meltdowns are very rare. I can cope with changes easily. Sometimes I'v...

If I'm sitting at a table with other people and one of them accidentally touches my foot/feet with theirs, I'm instantly furious.

^^I'm 5'2" also and one reason why I'm glad I'm short is that I'm close to the ground should I fall. A 6' 0" or taller person would more likely hurt themselves if they fall that great distance! ;)

My mum's dad fought in WWII. He was a right a***hole who blamed his abusive behaviour on what happened to him in the war but wouldn't actually talk about happened.

My dad was ready to go to Vietnam but in the end he wasn't conscripted.

Thunder and lightning are fine, it's just the wind that bothers me. Two years ago, our entire side fence blew over. The cats then liked to visit next door without having to jump the fence. Luckily we didn't have to pay for a new fence as we rent. I've been scared twice in my life by huge claps of th...
