That's awful! I am a nurse, and I would never treat someone that way. It's inexcusable, aspie or not. I have had people yell at me and become very insulting, yet I always stay professional. You or your husband should report the pharmacist to his manager, and if it's a chain (CVS, Walgreens) contact ... |

That's terrible. Some people were just raised wrong and have no consideration for others. We live in a great house in a cute neighborhood, but our neighbors to one side are 1) lazy and leave standing water in their yard so we have a huge mosquito problem 2) rude by screaming loudly at their poor dog... |

When I was in high school (1997, rural Ohio), two of my female friends went together because it was cheaper to buy a "couple" ticket than 2 single tickets. Granted, they weren't lesbians, but there was some whispering among teachers that "couple tickets were for couples". However, the prom is put on... |

I had been following the oxytocin treatment debate on here awhile ago, and had read quite a few articles. If you haven't read parts and pieces of it, the premise is this: Oxytocin is the "feel good" hormone released when we fall in love, hear a touching story, hold a baby, or pet an animal (among ot... |

I cannot eat any raw plant matter, except for REALLY thin apple slices, and it will take me over 2 hours to eat one apple that way. Biting into a piece of lettuce or something elicits a very strong gag reflex, and makes me unable to continue eating for quite awhile. I guess it's like if most people ... |

In college, when I first started to think there might be something "wrong" with me (because that was the first time I really started realizing that I was actually completely different from everyone I knew), I read up on depression, OCD, bipolar personality disorder, and ADD/ADHD. Although there were... |

I wonder if the economy could have been a factor in these students' suicides. From what I've heard, New York has had a pretty bad economy recently. Maybe their feelings of helplessness and being overwhelmed could've been partially linked to the economy. Ivy league schools are SO expensive, and the ... |

Hopefully, if you stick with ChE, you get to do a Senior project similar to mine. We built a mobile scanning electron cart for one of the professors, complete with a sputter coater, that we used in our project of using the exoskeletons of microorganisms to etch nano-scale patterns in thin films. You could also look for a used laptop locally. Then, at least you would be able to see it working prior to giving money for it. Also, some companies sell refurbished computers for less than the new ones. Some schools (at least in USA) will give BIG discounts on computers, especially laptops, to help... |

Have you considered going back to school in the fall on a half-time basis? Or taking fewer courses? I had a really rough time at the residential college I originally attended because I was having to be in class between 8 and 9 am 5 days a week. I also took 18+ credits every semester. It was too much... |

Do you already have a BS degree? The veterinary thing is SUPER expensive, and you have to think about if, at 32, you want to end up $100,000 to $150K in debt (or more) and not have any income at all for 4 years. Seven girls I went to college with are now vets, and although they love it, they barely ... |

I agree with richie. It's a college for kids who can afford to pay their own way (rich parents, trust funds, etc.) and don't need to worry about getting an actual JOB to pay off their student loans after college. Interesting concept, but not very realistic for most of us. |

The school I went to had mostly doubles (2 people), but some triples...some of my friends went places where there were 4 people in one room! They still survived. Since the university is in your hometown, if you need to get away from your roommate, you can always spend an evening at home. Also, I'd r... |
