THanks you all! this is making sense to me now.... I had this teacher that I really loved, and when it came time for the semester to end .. I didn't want to say good-bye, so I signed up for another class... then things didn't go so well... and when it was time to leave the second time, it wasn't hea...

Aside from death, I'm wondering what this expression means?? as in romance or relationships? Is there a book that has expressions interpreted that can help people on the spectrum? I'm wondering if when a person says "See you later", could they really mean "good-bye" sometimes... and how can you tell...

I hate to seem so dim-witted, but.... "Bow Chick a Bow Wow" means absolutely NOTHING to me.... I mean, maybe because I'm 47 -- I didn't know that somehow that is slang for "sex"?? is that what you all are saying?? and if so.... why is the thought of a brown cow having sex with a brown chicken funny?...

This is one of the occasions when I feel VERY different from most other people: I was in a classroom and someone mentioned this story about a couple in a barn and said something like "Brown Chicken ~ Brown Cow" and everybody in the classroom laughed but me... Then, the teacher asked if there was any...

Thank you for the replies and Dooneybourkegrl - Thank you for the story about Rainbow Bridge. I have heard of that before and it always makes me cry when I read it. My sister suggested I watch the Movie Marley & Me.... I cried my eyes out toward the end... It made me feel sad again though, but t...

Thank you all for your kind words. Nan, I appreciate what you wrote, it made me cry and yet feel a bit better at the same time. Pekkla, I kind of feel like a murderer too -- although, I don't think he would have made it past another day or two without dying on his own... He may have died alone or in...

If I'm not mistaken, I think the symptoms of Salmonella take a while to take effect after eating tainted product. So, even if you feel fine now, well.. it doesn't necessarily mean that the crackers were alright. I'd wait a full 24-48 hours to know for sure.. Actually, they might begin to know more a...

I watched this movie today about a homeless young man and I wondered if any one knew how many homeless people were on the autistic spectrum. I wonder how many of us die alone, out in the streets. What happens to older people (50-62 that aren't on Social Security) that are on the autistic spectrum an...

I have the chance to take this course that is offered online and is also offered as a regular class in the classroom.. I'm wondering if any of you have had an online course and how it compares to a classroom where you can ask the teacher anything you need to in person? How did the online class go? D...

Some of it was interesting to read regardless of whether a person can actually attend the meetings or not. I liked the part about how visually, t...

I think it's too late. I didn't tape the class.. My adviser was told about it.. he thinks I just don't like "cuss words".... it's much more than that.. but anyway, I'm glad to be leaving that program.. I guess someone else is going to have to deal with it now because this week is exam week. If this ...

Hi, I would like to show an example of how a woman on the spectrum can get into trouble by not being quick enough to understand the jokes... For instance, this 21 year old kid comes up to me with a bunch of money in front of other people in music LAB today..at the Community College. I have a set of ...

I guess maybe he could compose his songs with the lyrics/instrumental music at home and maybe other bands could record the songs on CD and travel.. Although, it seems all these years that he liked to play his own music.. The stress of touring is what gets to him most I think.. Constant touring would...
