Yeah I don't know how people have time to find love and to invest in long term relationships Everything these days seems to be about speed and instant gratification That's from my personal observations btw I can't speak for what other people observe More specifically the effort needed to invest in ...

In this instalment of "scientists rushing to debunk stuff" we now turn to UFOs. Most scientists wave these away as misidentification of planet Venus, aeroplanes or (the airforce favourite) swamp gas, flocks if birds or temperature inversions. In this video we have a classic example of a sc...

^ I'm not sure of the numbers, but I too am wary of donating money to charities because I doubt very much of it would get spent on the causes they say they represent. Some of those chief executive salaries look high enough to be a concern, and they certainly don't sit well with my socialist princip...

Ok thanks, always attributed it Mao!
In that case "Better to be a dog in times of tranquility than a human in times of chaos."
Although dogs in China might have something to say about the precariousness of their lives during so called "tranquil times".

Just donate money online to a foodbank or something similar that helps people in your area. It's much more effective that way. Lesson number three - charities skim 90% of what you donate to pay for overheads/salaries. If you feel charitable then donate your time in a soup kitchen or help tutor a ki...

The math doesn't seem to add up. How are so many men unable to find single women? Shouldn't there theoretically be at minimum an exact number of women who are single? There's no evidence I'm aware of that suggests there are more lesbians than gay men. Unless anyone knows something I don't.. Anyway,...

Very few Australian made goods. Yes mainly food/wine. Saw a Chinese comedian in Melbourne at a comedy festival, mostly Aussie crowd, she remarked "Oh! Looks like I'm the only thing in this room that's made in China", (audience laughs) "along with the tables, chairs, glasses, clothes, ...

^^^ Yes that's actually a good question. UAPs are no longer "paranormal", the government has admitted that strange unidentified objects exist (their words). Both the Columbian and Indian object were filmed before crashing. Whatever they are they appear to be very similar and filmed falling...

I've met women over the years, mostly through work. I also met many women when I was in school. But as I've gotten older, it has gotten increasingly harder to find anyone who's single. I used to go to a weekly board game group, but it died because of Covid. Some of us attempted to revive it after t...

I wonder how they are going to get along with their new neighbors. They seem to be city dwellers, not farmers. US cities are likely to be too multicultural. Des Moines, the big city in Iowa, is 67% non-Hispanic white. There are tiny towns like Central City that are nearly all white, but they are to...
