most times i hear that said, the sayer does not pronounce the "t" and when they say "gutted", it is like they say "guh" and then they choke their throat off for a tic and then they say "Ed" in a sharp way. i do not know how to explain it but i do not like it. That, my friend, is a glottal stop :)

My eyesight is poor, as in, I'm very short sighted. As for my hearing, it's probably about average. I tend to notice some high pitched noises that other people don't, but aside from that, nothing's out of the ordinary. Smell and taste are normal. I think. And finally, my sense of touch is slightly h...

Well, labels are just labels. 'Aspie' is just a convenient short way of saying 'person with Aspergers Syndrome' which is horribly clunky and unwieldy. 'Aspie' could be used as an insult, but it's not *usually* used in a derogatory way, and it's better than having no word at all. But now you've made ...

Well, I think there is a difference between expressing unpopular opinions and trolling in the classic sense. It depends on how you put your point across and also the kind of reaction you want from other people -- if you post an unpopular opinion for the sole purpose of getting people wound up, that'...

This is sad :(

Amy was an extremely talented singer who never managed to realise her full potential. It really does make me think that there's a correlation between extreme genius and self-destructive behaviour. Almost as if geniuses don't know how to live with their talents.

Sad, sad, sad.

Am I the only one who gets mistaken for the wrong age in the other direction? Nah, you're not the only one. I'm like this too. :P I'm 22 and yet everyone thinks I look older than my sister, who's 28. Granted, she looks young for her age but I could probably pass for 24 or 25. When I was 15, I could...

Interesting topic, I'd never thought of that!! But of course the possible similarities between AS and Alzheimers are misleading, because AS is a lifelong condition with both positive and negative aspects, while Alzheimers is a debilitating, humiliating disease that only ever ends in death after year...
