The three weddings that I have attended were very boring. Religious, dragging, uber-traditional, exactly the same except for the couple being married. I personally find the ceremony to be the most boring part of the wedding. God this, rings that, blah blah blah. The food afterward was good, though. ... |

All we got was a little bit of rain and barely any wind, like a regular rain shower. It was a huge disappointment. But at least there were no damages and nobody got hurt. |

I'm in southeastern Virginia, so we're likely to have one of the arms of Earl "touch" us. I'm not too worried, though. Both my husband and I have noticed that weather has a peculiar pattern of... diminishing... when it passes directly over this area. Some say it's because of the bay. But a... |

Hmm, I find that I'm much more concise when answering a question or making a particular point. Like if someone asks me a yes/no question. And then I answer with just a yes or a no. And the person that asked me the question is just standing there expecting me to say more. Or when I ask someone a very... |

I got a tattoo wedding ring rather than a metal ring. It did hurt a bit, but not as much as I expected from all the stories I've heard. A solid band over the top half of my finger (the bottom half cannot be tattooed because it would fade too quickly), and below is the initial of my husband's first n... |

I strongly dislike being "encouraged" to talk. Of course I don't intend to force her to talk: that's just mean and I apologise for coming across that way - it wasn't meant. However, it's a very uncomfortable feeling when there's just one person whom you can't get to know in any way. It feels unfrie... |

I participate at Offbeat Bride Tribe. It's a wonderful community just for engaged women to talk about the more NON-traditional wedding stuff. Full of support and advice and stuff like that. No snarkiness. |

She sounds just like me. I behave exactly like that at work, if I can get away with it. If somebody insists on joining me for lunch, then my lunch is ruined. I need to be alone to recharge. This. The description of that coworker might as well have described me exactly. I strongly dislike being "enc... |

If you don't want these people around, why not just say, "I just want to be left alone," with heavy emphasis on "alone."
Who cares if they percieve you as a jerk? You don't want them around anyways, and it's not like you'll see them over and over again in life. |

My mother claimed I was planned; that she had gotten married to my father, and then decided to become pregnant with me. However... the timing does not coincide with her story. My mother "ran away" from home immediately after she finished high school in Tennessee, at the age of 19. She and my father ... |

It's very possible to pee while walking/running at the same time.
Why, I've peed myself quite a few times while walking/running to the bathroom. Not fun at all. |

1. I'm developing a special interest in photography, and hope to one day buy a big ol' camera with all the fancy lenses and stuff. I sometimes post some pictures on the blog linked in my signature. 2. I refuse to laugh at jokes that aren't funny. I don't humor people, either. 3. My favorite soda is ... |

I don't call my mother. But I will pick up the phone if she calls (which is about once every two weeks), for now anyway. But it's a chore to talk to her and hear her talk. I also sometimes forward funny emails to her. I have cut my brother out of my life completely. I do keep in touch with my stepda... |

Usually I don't even find out about it directly. Then I become furious that nobody told me what I did wrong. I get even more furious at idiots that say crap like "It should have been pretty obvious." Otherwise, it's all in the approach. If someone approaches me gently, it'll be cool. If someone app... |

It annoys me when people ask me, "Are you okay?" (BTW I am very well aware that they mean well!) As others have mentioned before, the Are You OK Brigade tends have impeccable timing for interrupting when I am in the middle of a daydream or a deep-thought session. Or when I am feeling perfectly fine,... |
