Don't forget the huge difference between having a republican at the dinner table previously and having a Trump supporter at the dinner table now. Difference in politics vs difference in humanity. Yes, absolutely. It's not just a different point of view or a different view on policy, it's a differen...

^ Yeah, I think you’re onto something there. Related to that, it’s probably also appealing to some to believe that they know things that a lot of people, including highly educated people, don’t. Being raised with fringe religious beliefs which had some conspiracy theory elements to it, it wasn’t un...

The best way to meet a partner, man or woman or nonbinary, is through friends and friends of friends. The problem with that is if you don't already have a circle of friends. But if there is anyone you kind of know who might be at an event, try to go to such events and chat with people there, but esp...

It's been a really long time since I've been on a job interview. One tactic that I remember an interviewer employing is that she pretended to lose her train of thought and asked me what she had been talking about, which I thought was a clever way to gauge if I had been paying attention and was on th...

I'm puzzled by the appeal of conspiracy theories in general. They seem so clearly to be fairy tales and very often they are wildly improbable, and yet they appeal to a certain set of people. I've heard the explanation that they are appealing because they offer simple explanations for complex subject...

Sometimes it's hard to identify our own emotions, at least it is for me. I'll feel uneasy or upset and I can't tell if I'm angry or sad, or something else. And then when I do know how I'm feeling, I'm not sure if it's okay to talk about it to the few people I am close to, because I don't want to bur...

There is absolutely no foundation for the fear of vaccines. Including the idea that it's not the vaccine itself but other ingredients that could cause harm. All of it is entirely untrue. Vaccines are perfectly safe. ^I am. I am saying they are perfectly safe. To say anything else is vaccine scare m...

I'm not sure how to interpret these. They are vague enough that they could be just normal banter but they could also be something more. It's hard to tell. I'm sorry I couldn't give you more insight.

I haven't watched the video but while it's true that the Democrats are not doing nearly enough the Republicans are far worse and actually undoing the small progress that has taken place.

I'm not really capable of driving except in situations where there is very little traffic because I can't keep track of everything going on around me, so I almost never drive, and I don't like it.

I am in shock a bit. I knew I was aging (61) but lately I look more like 75. Stress has done it along with lack of sleep for several years. And I don't take very good care of myself other than an extremely healthy diet. I have hated my nose all my life, still hear all those teasing comments from yo...

Outside the house where we stayed in the summers there was a sidewalk paved with red brick colored tiles. I remember doing somersaults on that sidewalk. I was probably 3.

I'm 60 years old and I haven't had any spooky or unexplainable experiences. My belief is that when they seem to happen they are nothing more than tricks of the mind or coincidences.
