Interesting thread to resurrect from 2018... :)

But no, I don't think people should be imprisoned for anything and that the whole criminal justice system needs to be restructured and rethought.

Certainly not for peeing in a pool, as disgusting and disrespectful as it is.

These adults who are criticizing you might think that they are being helpful, but they are not. There is nothing wrong with your interests.

I am so sorry that this is happening to you. I do think that it's an ASD thing to sometimes feel overwhelmed and react badly. Then you feel terrible because you wish you had handled it differently, but in the moment you couldn't, or you would have. I would say go easy on yourself rather than blaming...

I definitely feel younger than my age. If I didn't know my age and didn't remember, and I didn't have mirrors or could see my physical self, and I had to guess how old I am, I would probably guess I was 20 years younger. Maybe even younger than that. Other than being calmer and more accepting, and l...

I don't think that the pandemic has had a particular effect on me in that area, but I always find it hard to make friends and connect with people. I think all you can do is keep trying. One way to make a connection is to show that you are interested in knowing about the other person. Ask questions (...

I want to rest, but feel guilty for not doing more in life besides the chores I am able to take care of. It sounds like this is a part that you can work on. Acknowledge that you need rest and that you don't need to be doing more than you can handle. Your burnout will probably not resolve without re...

^What you are describing is a perspective that exists but it is not "wokeism." (And incidentally I agree with that perspective. It's true that because racism is embedded in the structure of society no one is immune to it and it's difficult to avoid perpetuating it.) The meaning of the word...

Is there a social worker at the group home, or who comes out to the group home, whom you can talk to and explain that the requirements are too difficult for you and are causing you pain and stress? Can you talk to the social worker who placed you at the home? What about your sister? Or is there some...

They are not specifically saying "Death to Israel" but "From River to Sea" which does mean Israel as a Jewish state needs to go. What the replacement for the Jewish State should be means anything from a multiethnic democratic state to the slaughter of the Jews. That means it is ...

Zionists shouldn't be allowed to get away with tossing this word around anytime someone brings up the ethnic cleansing of the Palestenians. Yes! It's a serious problem that any criticism of Israel is labeled by some as antisemitism. There are valid reasons to criticize the state of Israel, particul...

A subset of progressives or leftists and a subset of people who identify as woke are the same thing. Woke is not an ideology nor is it a particular group of people. It merely refers to an awareness of societal injustices and an awareness of the systemic nature of such injustice. Just about any lefti...

^I believe those viewpoints are motivated by the false belief that criticism of the state of Israel is tantamount to antisemitism. When any defense of the rights of Palestinians is conflated with antisemitism, then antisemitism can be found everywhere.

I haven't been to a McDonald's in decades. I'm vegetarian and gluten free so they don't serve much that I could eat, but I also just don't think it's good. When I ate meat and wheat I would eat there sometimes if it was convenient, but I never much liked it. And I'm glad they got rid of the Billions...
