Find ways to socialise thats not just for the sake of socialising. I fence (sword fight) and my training sessions are my socialising sessions too. If you say something wrong, its easy to get away, duel someone, then come back and try again!

Don't know if I'm aspie, but I'm a very violent sleeper. I don't punch so much, more slap if anything, but I kick the hell out of my wall. No-one likes sharing a room with me. I sleep babble as well, and occasionally sleep walk, although this seems to be getting rarer. I also wake alot during the ni...

I'm not sure if it will work, but I'm joining a volunteer organisation (SES for the aussies out there). I've volunteered in the past with other places, and if you make it a regular activity, you do make good friends! Its a great social outing, but you also get the warm fuzzy feeling of helping out y...

English is my first language, I learnt Italian at school from prep (4 years old) but never spoke it outside class. By year 7 (11years old) I could speak it quite well whenever I wanted to. Everyone thought it was the strangest thing, my mum always thought I was just babbling at her but once my teach...

Welcome! I love your title too. Know the feeling! I also dislike humans, but I've found some are much nicer and fun than the rest. I have grand plans to evict all the idiots from Australia, then bring in all the good people from overseas, then lock the gates (which I will have to build). We have a p...

Welcome :) I'm a "not sure" newbie too, I'm in my 5th year of my 3 year science degree. Same thing - have trouble motivating myself often! Turns out going to class really does improve your grade... I know (kind of) where I want to go with my degree, which apparently is motivation enough for some peo...

Hi there! My name is Jay, I'm 21yo girl from Australia. I probably don't have AS, but theres alot of stuff I relate to here so I thought I'd join up anyway.
