WrongPlanet has a great article explaing what asperger's is - more user friendly than the NAS one. There is a link to it on the wrongplanet homepage but both this and the link I have saved (http://www.wrongplanet.net/article112.html) give me a blank page apart from one comment.

| ^ ditto. Whilst ASD disorders are 'real' and w/ manifestations, we are all human. I try to not be nervous/anxious around NTs (some are very dominant and can be scary) but I don't think in terms of 'us' & 'them.' And there are many NTs I do like, and I don't consider one's neuropathy as a factor... |

| I don't think it is an AS trait because it is not logical. The lack of compassion conflicts with the golden rule, and other morals many of us have. | I'm actually very sad about this. The report painted me as really pathetic. I felt like I'd wasted my life with illusions. The good news is that now I will get help with things and better benefits, though. That's what I most need. But, tonight I still feel sad about the report and sad about my cat.... |
