I'm kind of thinking that the discovery that was made was that a social role you've suddenly been thrust into is harder than one you've been socialised into since birth.

Nah, it's because "You're a gold-digging liar with a hive mentality who has life on easy mode and will probably hit me or at least be verbally abusive. WHY DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT MY FEELINGS?" is not really the best pick-up line.

You make work your priority and play games when you have the time.

If you can work, you can find work, but you don't want to because "I want to play video games", I have a really hard time summoning any sympathy for you.

Balloons are not ok at any age because I hate the sound they make when they burst.
