Hmm...I've never heard any names (not surprising...I tend to ignore any comments) but people often mimick my movements and actions. Stiff walk, monotone voice, Aspie stare (you know what I mean). And I'm willing to bet that there have been many comments...just unheard by me. Oh well.

You see, last year I presented a monologe (sp?) in my freshman English class. My teacher had me practice one on one until I knew the words like the back of my hand. Then we added eye contact (the horrors!). I had it down...until I got up in front of the class. I lost it. I couldn't remember a thing....

My teacher has told us we will be required to write a persuasive essay and deliever it in the form of a speech. I am not good at talking to groups, so what should I do? How can I prepare?

It happens to me, too. It's terrible when we're given verbal instructions in class and I have to ask the teacher to repeat themselves. When it's written I am fine. So annoying!

I talk to very few of my peers (I do have a few...um...3 friends). They (peers, not friends) usually assume I am stuck up and emo (both untrue). Teachers, however, are a different story. They all like me and I can talk (for the most part) to them easily. They wait for me to get the words out, respon...

What does it mean to "talk at" someone rather than "talk to" someone? It has been mentioned that I "talk at" people, but I don't quite understand the meaning of this. Can someone please clarify?

Well, I do have one nice outfit that I wear for weddings, school awards, and formal choir performances...a pink and black dress with leggings. So I am set for the dress-up events.

I am just wondering if maybe a lack of "fashion sense" could be related to AS. I wear a very limited array of clothing: T-shirts (think of free shirts, school shirts) (I only have about 6) Jeans (three pairs that are all the same) 2 long sleeve shirts (put under t shirts on cold days) 1 jacket (it c...
