What to write to a mod in a PM because I got attacked here on Wrong Planet again. s**t. :x I'm noticing rather too much of that kind of thing lately. Could be that certain bullies are taking advantage of the recent loss of a good moderator which is bound to make it harder for the remaining mods to ...

-1 Tonight's open mic wasn't anything like as well attended as last night's, so although I got a couple of compliments, the contrast was a tad depressing. I thought being Saturday there'd be more people, not less. I was also tired all day because I was buzzing so much last night that I couldn't slee...

Actually this was last night but I was too busy to post it. Another open-mic session that went down like a dose of salts. Lots of people coming up to me saying how much they liked it. It was like being a Beatle only without the money and drugs. Only downside is that it's pretty overwhelming for an A...

I saw an old-school Baptist preacher doing his thing. Fascinating. Very dramatic. Personally I thought the content was a load of rubbish, and would probably have become angry if I hadn't been quietly recording it to prove to myself later that I hadn't been dreaming and to play back to friends to fin...

^ What a fantastic response! It was so great to read it! I appreciate the effort you put into giving such a thoughtful answer to my question! Thanks for saying that. It's no great effort. I just sit here and listen to what my little brain spits out, write it down, edit it a bit, and hit the send bu...

Time, season 1 episodes 1 and 2. The BBC one with Stephen Graham in it. Enjoyed it so far. It's about a chap who has to do a sentence in a really nasty prison. Stephen Graham's work always floats my boat. He's just like Craig Charles except for the material which is often a lot darker than Charles' ...

Did you grow up on Captain Pugwash?.

I most certainly did, Master Bate.

FUN FACT: Pugwash actually said that in one episode. I've got the sound recording somewhere that proves it. They must have been laughing their balls off when they were making that show.

Perhaps saying Good Morning is the human version of roosters crowing & other birds chirping in the mornings :chin:

Talking of "hello," I saw on the kids' show Blue Peter that there was a time when Britain was divided between the use of "hello" and "ahoy" when using a telephone, and that people would go around with their preferred word printed on their clothing or something, until t...

i told my dr how people have thought im autistic and my Dr says I don't seem autistic and he's a Dr so I guess he knows what's he's talking about. Well, you'd hope so, but they're only human. I know somebody who had 2 ASD assessments by 2 different teams, and one said ASD and the other said not ASD...

It's just a friendly hailing signal. But it's nice to think that most people who say it actually wish you did have a good morning. It's a bit too stiff for me, and I prefer "hi" or "eyup." I get bored with using the same greeting phrase all the time, so I like to switch them occa...

Funny how every government wants to rule the world as soon as they think they're in with a chance.

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know. I asked a Chinese guy at work once if China did socialism, and he laughed. I took that as a "no."
