| I don't think that being strongly scientific-minded precludes thinking outside the box. As for some of us believing the news 100% and others disbelieving it 100%, my own view is that the news is a mixture of truth, lies, and bias. |

| I'm not much of a one for gratitude. The Big People used to tell me I should say thank you, so I learned to do that mostly to avoid their wrath. I'm not sure I believe that it does much good to be more grateful. You feel what you feel, and you don't feel what you don't feel. Usually I appreciate it ... |

| Yes the rules largely don't apply to the rich and powerful and never really have. After all, they make the rules, we follow. I believe that authority figures & the rich & powerfull need to follow their own rules & set an example of what others under their power & influence should do... |

Tornadoes are a pain in the butt at the best of times. Chances of being hit by one are pretty remote, but the necessary running for cover just in case is no fun at all. |

Cheers. I did move away from the window, and the apartment is said to be tornado-resistant. Biggest problem was convincing the cat to take the danger seriously. |
