Jesus. Starting exactly a year and a day before the crucifixion. I'd keep a journal and bury it in a cave, assuming I could inject my own behaviour into the role from time to time.

No I don't think it'll ever be possible to go back in time. My only doubt about that is that technology has sometimes eventually done things that most people had deemed impossible.

You can go forward though. It's just difficult to go very far, but conceptually it's not impossible.

No I don't, so I usually err on the side of extreme caution, which is probably why I don't have tons of friends. People are usually too polite to openly push others away when they're not wanted. I've also got a bit of a phobia about people feeling I've abandoned them, so it's a scary thing to me whe...

I switched from smoking to vaping and nicotine pouches. Tobacco isn’t that hard to grow but since most people can’t grow a tomato plant I doubt many people succeed. Vaping is cheaper, I can refill my vape at around 10$ a month. Don't tell the government. They'll tax it till you're as poor as a toba...

Sad to say the original post doesn't make sense to me. The syntax is too ambiguous. I guess English isn't the OP's first language, and I sympathise with him, but that doesn't help me to understand his ideas. To see if it would help, I watched the video. There are many ideas in it, some of which I ag...

Maybe it's a minor point, but where in the world did you get your definition of the verb "gaslight" from, Fnord? Psychology Today provided this one: Gaslighting: An insidious form of manipulation and psychological control.  Victims of gaslighting are deliberately and systematically fed fa...

Certainly it's been helpful to me. I haven't bothered downloading apps, I just go here: https://chat.openai.com/ All I've done is to ask it questions and read the answers. That's enough for me so far. I'm quite impressed. The Web itself has revolutionised learning by making access to information so ...

I love Lord of the Rings too btw, and I think that Orc Lives DO matter! 8) It's a beautiful thought, but I fear Sauron wouldn't have reciprocated the gesture and that the consequences would have been dire for the righteous. But after I'd read The Hobbit to my son, he had a dream in which the evil d...

^ You're welcome. I don't know why I have that reluctance to make small affectionate gestures either. You could be right about it simply being down to the "typical bloke" syndrome, which curiously has been a view of ASD expressed by some folks, though others say it's not a good view. Anywa...

I feel kind of 25 but with a few more relatively minor physical aches and pains and a bit less physical stamina. Singing voice still no worse except that I can't scream my head off for hours like I used to, or even just sing my highest notes in a muscular kind of way for more than a few minutes with...

Yeah. Didnt NZ have that clever system in which they raised the minimum age one year every year? Eighteen was legal in year X, But you had to 19 in year X+1, and 20 in year X +2, and so on. So the oldsters already hooked could keep on smoking, but no new young recruits to smoking would be (in theor...

My wife says she loves me but we live like two strangers in a house. Sex is a long-distant memory, intimacy doesn't exist. But we don't fight, we get along, we are friends, we have a comfortable life so why do I feel so lonely? Not really sure what anybody can say I guess I have to put up and shut ...

I've been having a lot of dreams lately of traveling back in time to the 80s or the 70s, probably because the present time is so awful and I'm really really afraid of getting older and the BIG M. Last night I dreamed that I traveled back in time to when I was nine years old. and I became nine years...
