Just a quick question: Is the sun's gravity at the Earth's average distance from the sun stronger or weaker than the Earth's gravity on the surface of the Earth?

Right now, there's too big of an age differential, AND she has two brothers that are a year older and a year younger than our son. He's "supposed" to be friends with THEM, according to social custom -- but he's only "kind of" friends with the younger brother. I don't know how a relationship with th...

Pratchet has some amazing ones. "Pulling together is the aim of despotism and tyranny. Free men pull in all kinds of directions." (From The Truth) "I cursed Imo because he gave the birds and animals a way to sense great waves, and didn't give it to smart beings like us. But I realize He did. He made...

Actually I'm not having much trouble getting my mine to where ouinon's seems to be (although the language in that post is tieing me in knots). I think ouinon simply uses the word "reality" like the rest of us use the word "truth" and uses the word "truth" as the rest of us would say "most commonly s...

As it is humans, and humans only, that use the word "truth", it was therefore actually "true", then, that the sun orbited the sun. The fact that the earth has always orbited the sun is irrelevant to the fact that humans decide what is true, what things "are" true, and that this changes irrespective...

I was one of the most popular people in school (voted 2nd place for general nice guy, the winner was a highly sociable NT and a very nice person, naturally) on the basis of this. Honesty is definately part of it but I've found ignoring most politics and not being limited to one single circle of frie...
