While I agree that there are legitimate uses for the word "ret*d", as an insult, I think it has to go. Why do we have to put down people of lower intelligence anyway? I know we all say "stupid" but why is it that lack of intelligence equals fair game for ridicule? I will tell you what the word "ret...

If we compare it to mules (crosses between equines and donkeys) we can say such hybrids were most likely sterile. Hee hee but if such hybrids weren't and reproduced with each other chances are they make up part of the Land of the Lost cast. Researchers claim modern man and Neanderthals were isolate...

A problem I have with this theory is that it seems to use autistic traits which the author theorizes to be due to Neanderthal admixture to calculate an Hn axis, which is used to calculate Hn-loading in Aspies. Well, of course Aspies are going to have more autistic traits. That's not the way it was ...

How do you know? Have you checked this or seen any study? It doesn't make any sense, I don't need to do any study to discredit an idea that is ridiculous. I am part Greek, does this mean I will be better at recognizing Greek faces than pure Northern Europeans are at recognizing Greek faces? I don't...

Granted, but people come to you on rocket ships and walk all over you, and stick a flag in you!

It's not a claim, it's part of the diagnostic criteria. To be diagnosed with Asperger's you have to have an average or above average IQ otherwise you will be diagnosed with a different Autistic Spectrum Disorder. If you are so sure of this, you must have access to this particular diagnostic criteri...

Autism has autism-specific social impairments that cover all IQ levels. The autism social impairment criteria are all that's required to distinguish autism-specific social impairments (at any IQ level) from any social impairments related to other conditions such as MR. This is because autism social...

My point was to back up what Katie was saying. You seem to have missed the main idea in her post. You replied to Katie: But if they have MR alone, they do not fulfill the criteria for autism-specific social impairments This was exactly the point she was trying to make. I agree that she was not consi...
