I'm so emotionally defunct that these are the only friendships I can have. I've never understood the draw of telling someone all of your feelings. It just seems unnecessary and very uncomfortable.

My friends used to refer to me (though rather infrequently, so I'm not sure if this counts) as Spock or Ken Jennings. I don't usually get a lot of nicknames because I have such a weird first name :P

I'm the same way. My mom screams at me whenever I drive because I drive very slowly; I get very anxious over about 40 km/h. But I'm okay riding in the car as long as I don't look at the speedometer.

Edit:
...I'm getting an Arts degree, not a Science degree.

Where I work, there's a display of huge, brightly-coloured lollipops on all the counters. And the refusal of parents to purchase them for children ends in me hearing six or seven tantrums a day. Children wailing "MOMMYYYYYYYY!" is the most bloodcurdling sound I have ever heard. Just thinking about i...

Ugh, I know this feeling. I just started university and all my new friends are always trying to go out and do stuff. I personally would rather stay home and talk (or read Wikipedia)...I can't handle the noise, the sheer amount of people, the alcohol, the fact that I don't like pop/hip-hop/dance/tech...

I always feel angry for no reason at the preppy Hollister guys at my university--but that might be because they talk and go on Facebook in class...or maybe it's because I really dislike trendy clothing.

I know what you mean. When I try to emulate successful NTs, it doesn't work. I think we must have some dead giveaways that make NTs wary of us. Perhaps it's the voice tone/volume issues, or that we have the wrong looks on our faces. But perhaps I'm just overreacting because of my social anxiety maki...

I divulge my quirks quite freely, just to try and get people to realize that I will be doing similar things on a regular basis and to see if they can handle my weirdness. But this is IRL, as I don't frequent any other forums.

Not sure how on-topic that was.

I have the typical northern American/Canadian accent, so generally I'm not accused of having a strange accent, but a lot of people tell me that they can't understand me because I don't use a lot of inflection and have a quiet voice. Apparently I am human white noise. I do have a strange problem in w...

My clothing issues: No polyester, wool, or anything "slippery" or itchy. EVER. I fluctuate between really loose clothes (for comfort) and really tight clothes (for the pressure). No turtlenecks. I must be covered from my neck to at least my knees to be comfortable. Also, my dream would be a world wh...

I get a lot of lectures from my mom on not being so literal and from my dad about not telling him what I misheard.
Personally, I enjoy the pictures my mind creates for certain metaphors; they're generally quite amusing, though I get fewer of them as my repertoire of metaphors expands
