Well, Goldfish21, to answer your question, my boyfriend and I had been together 5 years, but it wasn't going anywhere. He wasn't ready to commit to the relationship. We broke up in February around Valentine's Day. I started seeing the new guy last month, after my parents and I had come back from vac...

After having broken up with my boyfriend back in February, I recently started seeing someone new. I met him at the AANE (Asperger's Association of New England) Pizza and Game Night. He and I went to the same college, it turns out, and both graduated back in 2011. He has a Bachelor's of Arts in Geogr...

Does anyone here ever use an escape, in order to dear with loneliness? You know, like you lose yourself in the world of a good book or TV show, just to ease your pain? When I was in high school, I had a hard time making friends and finding dates, so on Thursday nights, I always looked forward to wat...

In response to dragonzatch's posting, we were talking about cartoons that were popular during our grandparents' or parents' day, cartoons that would have been popular during the '30s and '40s, or the '50s and '60s. That's waaay before your time! :D That's what we meant by "classic." We weren't talki...

I also used to watch a lot of classic cartoons, when I was growing up. I used to watch a lot of the old Looney Tunes and Disney cartoons, plus I've seen some of the old Betty Boop cartoons, too. My family and I used to shop at a store called Building 19, which is a big deal in New England, because t...

"Bosom Buddies" -- Billy Joel's "My Life" was the theme to this show. "Perfect Strangers" -- "Balki" was so cute! "The Greatest American Hero" -- Loved the theme song! :D "Believe it or not/I'm walkin' on air/I never thought I could feel so free/Flyin' away on a wing and a prayer/Who could it be?/Be...

I liked "Dear Diary" too, especially since I used to keep diaries. I also liked "Don't Let Me Get Me," which reminded me of how hard it was for me trying to socialize in school. It was a song about being different, about not being accepted, for not fitting in, which I could relate to.

I have so albums that I like, that's it's hard to pick 3. But I'll give it a shot. Pink -- Misundastood This was one of my favorites, when I was in my early 20s or so. More upbeat songs, like "Get this Party Started," got me in the mood to exercise, which is not always an easy thing to get motivated...

I also like "Wonder" by Natalie Merchant and "No Rain" by Blind Melon. I think I liked the second version of "Titanium" better than the first. The 1st one took a more literal approach to the song, but the second one took a more metaphorical approach, which I prefer. (English and literature were alwa...

There are some songs I feel I can relate to, either from my past or my present. It also depends on my mood. Here a few: "My Perogative" by Bobby Brown -- This song got me through some bad times in grade school, in the '80s. The other kids used to pick on me a lot, and I wished they would have just l...
