It really doesn't matter how much you protest. I am Autistic, people who have Aspergers are on the Autistic spectrum, like it or not. Besides in the new DMV manual there will be no Aspergers, only Autism. So get off your high horse and join us on the ground.

Go to your GP. I have been on the board(s) in wolverhampton that decided the pathway for the diagnosis. It has only been implemented at the beginning of April. This is Nationwide, so please go to your GP , explain that you had a referral but it has not been carried through to an appointment and you ...

I'm struggling to understand what the point of this thread is. The point is, to ask what people believe is worse. One or the other. As a sufferer of both, .......Hmm.. I don`t really know why I use the word "suffer". It is quite frightening for short periods of time when I have hallucinations and h...

You are of course right. As we grow older we come to understand what it means by "Rome wasn't built in a day" ... When I was younger I only thought "people in glasshouses" shouldn't throw stones because the windows are all made of glass and they would break them. As I have grown older I have done a ...

Been pondering for a while on the following: looks & personality. When asked which is more important, I have observed that those who respond with the former are deemed shallow, while those who respond with the latter are applauded for having their priorities straight. I am here concerned with w...

I have heard this or similar arguments many times. I agree in principle, but not reality. I understand what you are trying to say, that is Autism sets us apart from NT`s. Perhaps it would be better to imagine that Homo sapiens could be split into sub species. Auties being one sub, Schizoids another....

I think this is a trait of Autism. Obsession. I have been obsessed with someone who I met but not actually dated. I wonder how many of us got past that stage and dated , then quickly lost interest. I do most of the time if not always.

Schizophrenia is normally diagnosed when someone hears voices and sees things that aren't there. That is of course a potted diagnosis. I am Autistic and Schizophrenic. I fall into the overlap section. That is to say I do not have Aspergers but I am Autistic. I hear people talking to me and about me....

No to both, I don`t believe its an aspie trait, although I am actually full Autistic and not aspie. I never use my hands but I might tear up pieces of paper or draw something to explain a subject. I use "sorry" for when I am truly sorry. I hardly ever say it when I walk into someone, they usually sa...

I saw the other thread and it looks like this one has been especially created to put down Wrongbilly even more...by asking an obvious question and having lots of answers "disagreeing" with Wrongbilly. I see that as bullying, I'm afraid. Thank you for your support Smudge. ;) Fera, I am not harassing...

For the record... on a thread about the definition of bullying... one of our members said the following "It's disrespectful behaviour designed to upset and humiliate a person." Oh do stop acting the fool!! ! Is it not ALL retrospective? I told you that other members would feel bullied by your appro...
