The Spanish study ( https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10654-021-00754-4 ) is actually about both prenatal and postnatal exposure to acetaminophen (aka Tylenol), but the fact check only talks about exposure during pregnancy. What kind of fact check is that? Here's a study that gives an...

10c a word is pretty much a pro rate.

One of the requirements to join Horror Writers Association as an affiliate writer is having sold a story of at least 500 words for at least $25, which works out to 5c a word.

If that's speculation then this would be speculation as well: There is no epidemic of autism. It’s an epidemic of need On Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced another increase in the prevalence of autism among children. In a pair of new reports — one focused on 8-year-o...

It is kinda early to say it is a public health crisis as the author of the study did. While Zahorodny did not say what that "something else" is I have an idea how it will be taken, vaccines or some other intentionally introduced poison which is not good for us. That is why I think it was ...

Traditionally "Public health crises" meant something caused by germs or a virus or in the case of depression a chemical imbalance for depression. While there is a lot to be learned about autism what is known is that causation is mostly genetic. Innate traits have traditionally not been la...

Thanks for posting these. We have people who buy into some of these ideas here. No problem!! :D :) Tbh, I'm still quite alarmed and confused by how many people on this site seem to fall into these kinds of ideals. :o :? I mean, I even started to almost fall into these kinds of ideals myself, too, w...

Isn't assuming P(ASD|BPD resistant to normal treatment and referred for MBT) is equal to P(ASD|BPD) a mathematical error or methodological error? Or is it a logical error? For example, in his equation 0.146 × 0.062 = 0.15 × P(ASD), the 0.146 is from https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Goeran-Ryden-...

There is a paper "Finding the True Number of Females with Autistic Spectrum Disorder by Estimating the Biases in Initial Recognition and Clinical Diagnosis" ( https://www.mdpi.com/2227-9067/9/2/272 ) that is using Bayes Theorem to derive the prevalence of autism in women. In the paper, the...

Don't think this will get resolved soon because both sides are talking about totally different things. For one side, autism is defined by behaviour as laid out in the DSM. For the other side, autism is an identity. Just compare https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/autism/hcp-dsm.html with https://autisticadvo...

Heard 5 minutes of it so far. Hoping to hear more when I get a bit more time to hear more videos. Would be easier for me to take in if there was a written transcript. I have a dodgy short-term memory and a slow brain. It's a good brain but it's slow. TED talks have transcripts on the main website. ...
