Cats and dogs both have positive and negative traits. They were domesticated for different reasons, and at vastly different times in history. A lot of what has been said here (i.e. all dogs are slobbering morons, all cats only love food and not you) are generalizations and stereotypes. If you want ...

I don't mind giving them, although I give them rarely--if I give out a compliment, I mean it. Getting them... I don't get. I get complimented on my intelligence fairly often and I still haven't learned how to accept them without making other people feel bad. :/ And on the rare occasion I get complim...

No, not really. Evolution is more like an observation of what happens than a logical procession. What works stays, what doesn't doesn't, but there's no real build up or end. Nature just likes fiddling with critters--does this work well in this setting? No? That one doesn't survive to pass on that ge...

I wouldn't like to make a definitive statement one way or the other, but I would tentatively suggest that more people like me than don't like me. I'm certainly not the most popular guy in terms of having a large circle of friends, but I think I'm not roundly despised by lots of people, either. At w...

I would be willing to give rats a chance were I ever introduced to one. I think they're cute, at least as cute as squirrels. Mice as well. Hamsters, on the other hand, are evil little bastards.

Whenver an ambulance or tornado siren sounds, my dog howls at it in the same pitch. It's quite funny.

Oliver does this for harmonica playing. If you go at it for too long, he gives you a disgusted look and stalks off.

Cats are cute but in the end disloyal and false, selfish and scared. A cat wouldn't come to your defense if you're attacked or in trouble, they would cower away and attack only in self-defense. A dog on the other hand, if treated with love - will come to your defense even if it risks its own life. ...

Enough fuss about what's mainstream or not. For me there's only music I like and music I don't like. It could be everything from underground techno, german rock, to the weekly #1. I think the people who only like 'non-mainstream' like to think everybody else isn't 'cool enough' or' 'posers'. Well i...

Desmond Morris does human stuff? 8O I know him only from his comprehensive encyclopedia of dog breeds, which is one of my favorite books ever because of the sheer wealth of information in it. *makes mental note to find this show and watch it* Ahem. I've had some luck reading about human behavior tho...

I never say it unless I'm being ironic and/or mocking my little sister (who does use it), in which case it is indeed great fun. So is saying "Gosh and golly-gee!" although I do that less often. When I'm actually over-excited or frightened, I tend to lose the ability to speak and start... squealing, ...
