I think it depends on the circumstances and perspective. My aspie daughter would spend hours doing what was engaging her that day. As a toddler I could, for example, leave her playing in her room while I went for a shower and she'd still be there doing the same when I got back. My NT toddler son has...

I'm scared that an NT child will need a lot more social contact with other children which will mean I will have to have a lot more social contact with other parents. 8O Or he'll chatter and need lots of small talk input. 8O Or won't thrive with fixed routines. 8O Or worst of all, won't want to play ...

I have AS and I hate, hate, hate most technology. I like my laptop because it's small and feels nice to hold. Won't use any others as they feel heavy and uncomfortable. Would poke my eyes out before using any of them flat thingies. Don't use a mobile as they're so confusing they make my brain melt. ...

I have AS, my husband has AS, my adult daughter has AS, so does my mum, my brother and my nephew. It's dawned on me that this baby is most likely going to be on the spectrum too. Part of me thinks I should be feel sad about that, but I don't. I feel sort of relieved, but guilty for feeling this way....

It says the lawyer was approached within a week of the shooting. That's so, so sad. While grieving parents are still burying their stolen babies, parents who still have theirs are working out how to make the most money out of it. Shameful.
